Just asleep, minding my damn business when out of nowhere I'm awakened by what sounds like the biggest piece of bacon frying, or the largest welder going, or Frankenstein resurrecting his monster in the backyard Then the power went off and I fell back asleep.. for a couple mins until I heard a huge crack of thunder, then I kept thinking of that photo of a toilet that got hit by lightning, then I finally got back to sleep,and then it happened again... and again, and again Apparently there was a "limb" on the lines behind the house from a random small hurricane that popped up this morning anywhoo, everytime the power company thought they had the problem fixed and turned the power back on, the branch would arc the lines out

a couple months ago I noticed a tiny spider in the bathroom by the water shutoff (little area between the toilet/shower) at the time, I was like "man....there's been a lot of little flying things in the house, maybe it wouldn't hurt to keep it around." So, like any other completely sane and normal person, I said out loud "Alright spider, as long as you stay over in that corner I will leave you alone." FF to today, there is now a small pile of 7 dead roly polys underneath its' web, and zero flying things have been seen in the area.
