Yeah man idk this issue can be brought back up again as soon as lawyers and doctors either find or convince someone to say they were damaged by the drug and the FDA relaxed guidelines. It was a unanimous decision and that just tells me the conservative justices might be trying to give an assist to the GOP. We already know the conservative justices dgaf about standing and I find it convenient that suddenly it matters. I’m definitely glad they did the right thing but extremely suspicious as to WHY they did so.

The SCOTUS has rejected a claim to restrict the abortion drug Mifepristone. I didn’t read the entire article yet but it seems they decided the doctors bringing the claim have no standing to do so. I wonder if this decision was made to save Justice Alito because he was recorded saying some pretty damning shit. I hate that and how baselessly the word antisemitism has been thrown around. Criticizing Netanyahu and the huge human toll isn’t being antisemitic. That pro Hamas shit needs to stop too especially when people are protesting for a ceasefire. It’s meant to shut the any and all conversation and I hate that. It also overshadows real cases of antisemitism like in NYC. Protesters vandalized the president of the Jewish museum’s home and vandalized the museum. There was also an incident on the subway where some protesters were asking for Zionists to raise their hands. People have really lost their fuckin minds.

The world tsk tsking Israel in this instance while letting Hamas off the hook for putting civilians in harm’s way is a little shocking, honestly. UN calling out war crimes and people saying the mission was appalling is also telling. What exactly should have happened here? Gaza is one of the most densely populated regions in the world. The only thing Israel could have done was not do the air strikes while they were doing the raid, but aside from that idk.

A lot of the discourse is coming across as though Israel has all the responsibility and Hamas has none. In this instance what was Israel to do? Allow the hostages to just stay in Gaza cuz Hamas forces civilians to hide them? I hate Hamas for putting civilians in a deadly situation and I hate Netanyahu and the military which has no problem killing them.

It is kind of telling, and I hate to agree with MD here, that people want to blame only Israel for the deaths which occurred during a mission to rescue Israeli hostages. Hamas absolutely shares the blame. The hostages were kept in the homes of civilians. Israel didn’t do that. Hamas did.
