Yeah, i realized far too late that the whole "sending fireteams" part of the game was pointless af. Still, there were good things in the game and it definitely didn't deserve the reviews it got right out of the gate. Then of course, we're judging it after-the-fact, so i guess thats not fair either. It was decent.

Yeah that was fixed in a patch not long after release iirc. The storyline wasn't the greatest and the crew banter didn't live up to the originals, but the conversation mechanics were a lot more diverse. Loooong fucking game too- i had over 300 hours into it and im still not totally done.

Andromeda is decent, better than most games. Doesn't deserve the hate it gets. Best gunfight mechanics in the series. What specifically did you not like about it?

1 month on the coffee mead. Didn't end up bochet-ing it in the primary fermentation, just coffee, tea, ginger, clove, allspice, orange zest, and raisin. Went dry at 1.0000. Cloudier than nothing else but I mean that's to be expected since it's still in primary. Taste is pretty much exactly where I wanted it to be at this point in the process. The acidic flavor from the orange blend into the acidic flavor in the coffee so you've got this one acidic flavor that mingles between fruitiness and bitterness. Next step now that the coffee is done- add the creamer. I really want to bochet this. Buy a little thing of honey at the grocery store and cook it up in the crock pot, then when it's nice and carnalized I'mma dissolve it in some more coffee along with cocoa and vanilla. More cloves too. Gotta say I was really worried about how this one would turn out- when I try to capture the flavor of orange and coffee together in my head toothpaste always wants to join in because my brain thinks breakfast. But no, exactly where I wanted it to land before I planned to hit it with backsweetening in the secondary. Gonna be real goddamn good this december. Next mead is going to be a recreation of the peach honeydew brew with dandelions added. The one after that though? Plum, currant, hibiscus, ginger. Mmmmmmm.

Oh shit, dream thread, sweet. I had a crazy one the other night- i woke up and there was a tiny rattlesnake on my pillow right next to my head. So i try to wiggle my way out of bed to try to not disturb it. I manage to get out of bed but now its going after my cat. So i try to grab it, and i do a shitty job at it. Motherfucker's biting all over my fingers, i can feel the fangs going in and im looking at them and they look like little needles, feel like it too. Anyways i finally manage to grab the thing by the back of the head. I head out the door, only now im in my parent's front yard. I yeet the snake about as far away as i can before realizing i have to find it again to make sure i get the right antivenom for the type of snake it is. So me and my dad are looking around, trying to find this snake. He finds it, says "its a fucking pine snake!" While throwing his hands up in the air and walking away. Boy howdy i wonder what that one represents. Sure seem to be a lit of Freudian undertines to it.
