  1. so...they said double naruto wouldn't be happening next week even though online schedules say otherwise at the moment and a shenmue marathon is on the horizon so was that a mistake?...or do they have a new show planned for next week only to give it a break after that
  2. i mean they could have had a one piece marathon(that series only ever had a single marathon and they were side-quest episodes)
  3. Yeah and this will be the third time they've aired those episodes so as you said it just seems completely pointless to do this....
  4. it's out next week
  5. since toonami's recent schedules have been rather lackluster I'm Happy i can at least watch this on saturday
  6. the description for this on the facebook post is weird... they act like shenmue's been gone and say "have you missed ryo?" when it started airing in reruns right after it concluded
  7. anyone wanna guess how long doubled up shippuden is going to last? i doubt nobody wants to work with them and i see this as a temporary fixture on the block not a permanent one which is why I'll be very surprised if after a couple weeks we're still seeing double shipp on the block
  8. it does make me think that maybe they are trying to spread out new content across numerous days in an attempt to keep the adultswim brand in people's minds instead of it just being something they stop thinking about after the latest season of R&M Concludes
  9. remember they did say good things are on the horizon so they are at least still trying even if they can't give us whatever that is right now that's giving them such trouble
  10. that's the most perplexing thing about this schedule it comes when WBD is promoting toonami on other channels and as you said they wouldn't be doing that if they didn't want to support the block so the question then becomes...what's the issue? i don't think they intend on double naruto being a permanent fixture on the block like double one piece has been
  11. Someone on the toonami reddit pointed out that it's concerning that lupin and one piece have been forced to headline the block due to them never being all that successful nielsen ratings wise on toonami
  12. Toonami Doesn't Have Anywhere near the amount of money that netflix does so don't try and act like the toonami crew's lack of content lately is due to laziness or incompetence it's due to Sony Having a stranglehold on the distribution market and toonami having very few options in terms of shows they can actually obtain so quit acting like Toonami Did this to themselves when it's something they had no control over
  13. the only other option would be losing time-slots if they can't get new content and I Doubt anyone here wants a shorter toonami that barely feels like it's just started by the time it's over
  14. Not So Sure If One Piece Being On Earlier would do much though it's always been one of those shows that really intimidates newcomers
  15. why does it always feel like netflix is desperately trying to seem cool with the anime crowd while saying "How Do You Do Fellow Otaku's? I Sure Do Love me some pocky pocky sticks!"
  16. is this the first time they've premiered anything new on thursday? I can't remember the last time this happened seems like it's been so long since sunday became the default day for premieres and it also seems like they are moving away from more than one show airing new episodes on the same day not sure how i feel about that
  17. Thursday seems quite random seeing as sunday is the day they always want to premiere new episodes of [AS] Originals outside toonami
  18. I Wish we could have gotten this kind of action before things got so rough for the block.... seeing promo's during AEW right now while we're expecting a time slot cut just seems weird to me
  19. at this point it's probably a time slot cut....i was really wanting some positive toonami news soon but it's looking more and more like the block's not getting anything after AC's last episode this saturday
  20. MHA S6 Fire Force S3 and Dr Stone S3 are less certain because those would require them to work with crunchyroll something I'm not sure is even possible because that requires sony to come to the table and since they control so much of the anime distribution market i can see them declining and i agree toonami's in for a rough patch when it comes to pick up's especially since there's only so many originals they can air in a year and they have a limited amount of reruns they can actually air without needing a new contract to be written up so reruns could only buy them time for so long before they run out of reruns they still have the rights to air on television
  21. i don't think they'll be doubling up primal as that would require them to replace it sooner and given how things are with toonami right now a replacement isn't guaranteed this is the most uncertain time for the block and nobody knows what they can or can't acquire anymore which means moving forward it's just gonna be pointless fan speculation that leads to nowhere if the show never airs because without full confirmation that it's not gonna happen You'll have people shouting "Any Day now this show will be on the block!" Yashahime S2 might be coming or it might not that's how uncertain and bizarre things are right now what were once guaranteed shows might be tied up in crap that toonami doesn't want to deal with or can't deal with
