  1. that's the thing...toonami can't maintain an audience if it doesn't have a good budget to acquire content said audience wants to see WBD Big wigs have got to understand that....the current lineup isn't the success story they want but that's not toonami's fault Lupin Yashahime and double one piece just aren't enough to get people excited about the block weekly they can only acquire what they can afford and with Sony playing hard-ball that further limited the options available to them if WBD Won't give them more money then they shouldn't be surprised to see no major improvements
  2. and let's be honest....who the hell buys anything from the crunchyroll store? people talk about buying from rightstuf you don't hear anyone say "I'm buying this from crunchyroll!"
  3. here's the thing though rightstuf has been struggling a lot since the start of this year...staff shortages and just overall having a difficult time keeping up with most orders
  4. someone told me most people aren't gonna care about what discovery does to hbomax all things concsidered because "People really dont care about quality when over 50% of the workforce is : clock in 9-5, get home at 6, drink a beer and do normal stuff. they just want something to watch" and that statement scares me because that means you can put paint drying on and most people would watch it...because it's something and they don't care what it is they just need something to fall asleep to it could be a shot of somebody pooping on the toilet and it wouldn't phase them if all they require is something on tv...anything
  5. Amazon had that anime strike program they did many years ago...that shit failed can't see them doing any better with crunchyroll.... it just boggles the mind that discovery is content to surrendering in the streaming landscape and admitting defeat because they think it's just some dumb fad like pogs or fidget spinners that will be phased out by something else and then everybody will come running back to big cable tv bundles they see watching cable television as a sacred american tradition but i don't see it that way look at most channels on tv now...so many of them have resorted to endless marathons of old tv shows that it isn't even funny how is that suppose to be seen as better than streaming?....american cable television gave up on anime long ago so i can't even watch stuff like shadows house or the great jahy will not be defeated on television
  6. I Wonder what would have happened if Crunchyroll had not been sold to sony...it seems fortunate that sony bought them when they did because it doesn't seem like Discovery would have any interest in anime and we know dismantling crunchyroll wouldn't be good for anyone
  7. Mister Z and the discovery bunch don't seem to give a shit about competing against other streaming services they are content to waving the white flag to Disney+ Netflix Amazon Paramount And Apple as i doubt many people will stick around just to stream 90 day fiance they really wanna go back to the days where cable tv was king and You'd see brand new movies at the theater not at home
  8. both were uploaded yesterday to crunchyroll/funimation(sub and english dub) i watched both and honestly the baseball one just sucked The Second one was better but only because it felt like an episode of mha instead of whatever the hell HLB was
  9. weird how long this takes to be uploaded on hbomax(it's almost 7:00 AM and still episode five isn't on there) anyways the snake episode and the rake sports episode were...a bit too random so far I'm preferring season 2's content to this honestly
  10. a couple months ago he made these two comments
  11. if they air season two without the movie nobody will have any idea what's even going on and quickly lose interest the movie isn't optional it's a 100% requirement for watching season two.... there's no episodic version of the movie in Season two so unfortunately there's no easy solution for them in regards to Made in Abyss season two honestly if the movie wasn't so essential to the series we wouldn't be having this discussion but alas it is
  12. it's crazy how much that one show airs on mtv....anytime they talk about a ridiculous ness marathon i just wanna say "how's that any different from the normal schedule?!"
  13. no word on if episodes will be uploaded to hbomax the next day but i think that's obvious(It'd be weird if they didn't)
  14. has anyone here been playing this?
  15. unfortunately without the movie i see comments from fans that Season 2 cannot be watched without first seeing the movie unless you wanna be very confused and have no idea what's going on whatsoever
  16. this was the first adultswim series to have new episodes debut on hbomax the day after it's original premiere makes me wonder how tuca and bertie's hbomax numbers are
  17. My Problem with black lotus is that last year it felt like it was being shoved down our throats and i can only take so much of black lotus in my face before i just don't wanna see it anymore
  18. that leaves the eric andre show as the only live action series remaining
  19. Gotta Try and see how Toho Feels about MHA Being on toonami
  20. here's the toonami promo....wanna know what's weird about it? it didn't air during toonami tonight not once...not at all they put it on facebook and that's all
