Still in recovery mode from a tooth extraction yesterday. Back to work tomorrow. No real food until after 2 pm tomorrow, even then it has to be something easy to chew (sigh). I so want a burrito.

If it's out of the ordinary for you to charge at McD's (or any fast food joint for that matter), the CC co is going to look at it. Small charges are what scam artists do when your card is compromised. Large charges would be an immediate red flag.

I think he intends to get even with those who've said whatever they wanted about him without his being able to respond. On the news, the first thing he did was to dispel rumors being spread that Khloe Kardasian was his daughter.

I got caught up in one of those cost-cutting things the first time I was laid off. After it happened, a friend let me know that in 3 months they'd start hiring people back (I was still a probationary employee, cut just before 90 days). I filed for unemployment, then sent letters to the company's HR & the group I had been working for, thanking them for the opportunity & letting them know that if they had any questions about what I was working on to let me know. 3 months later, I was brought in for interviews & hired by a different team. Funny thing was, I found out that nobody picked up on what I had been previously been working on after I was let go, so for 3 months people didn't get paid. I guess there was a big uproar. Nobody bothered to follow up with me, I would have told them.

You go & apply for unemployment. If you haven't been with an employer long enough, then the unemployment reverts back to your prior employer before this one. It sounds like you'll be eligible though. You might be able to apply online, depending upon your state.

They teed it up, it would be considered bad form to not slam it out of the park.

I never understood the desire to "get out of" jury duty. I've been tapped 4 times, and have always been seated on a jury. I found it interesting. Maybe if it was a lengthy trial I'd feel differently.

Your county's so small it only has one? Do you live outside Bugtussle or Hooterville?

My theory, as previously stated here and on the old [as] boards: guys, until they become sexually active, only have contact with female breasts when their Mother's nurse them. They (as infants) associate that deep-seated bond with love, which ends when they are weaned but still resides in their sub-conscious. Girls the same, but they grow their own breasts eventually and are able to disassociate them from that bond because of that fact. So guys are infatuated with the idea of breasts. The two women that I brought this up to that were flat-chested both thought it was potentially valid, as they had the same curiosity about larger breasts that guys had. They didn't necessarily want them for themselves, but they wanted to touch & feel them. I think one said something about wishing she could (personally) have them for a day, just to see what they felt like.
