Bet you know brush fires though. We got approx 6 in. Now we're bracing for a steady drop to the 20s & gusty winds. Halloween's been going for 1:15 and I've had 2 little kids show, with their Mom driving them house to house. Gave them each a fist full, since I don't think I'll see many kids tonight. They were thrilled.

My favorite was always a store location calling, frantic - "None of our Ad merchandise is coming up on sale!!!!!!!!!!" "Ok, please supply me with a couple of items you've tested so I can backtrack through the system to see where the breakdown is." Store associate provides one item number. "Can you provide a few numbers so I can make sure they all have the same issue?" "No, that's the only one that isn't coming up."

The most snow on Oct. 31st that Chicago had in recorded history to date is .1 inch. An hour ago, that 4-7" was 3-6".

Just so it wasn't in the laundry room.

Nice, but I liked what late comedian Vic Dunlop did with just a pair of fake eyes. In one of his bits, he said he wore them driving and alternated between driving white knuckled and hunched forward (so his face was right over the steering wheel). When he'd get to a stop, if there was a car to his left, he'd turn his head really slowly to look at the other driver, then just as slowly turn back.

Depending on who I listen to, we're getting anywhere from some rain to 12" of snow for Halloween.
