Miss Chicago 1946 "It seemed rather stupid," she says. "My mother told me to walk straight and sparkle plenty." But a top 16 finish earned her a $1,000 scholarship, which funded a move to New York, where she took voice lessons and studied acting under Elia Kazan alongside Marlon Brando.

The only thing a DC ever did for my father was keep him upright with degenerative disc disease...when Doctors at the time advocated fusing vertebrae (which would have been continually needed as each disc failed). The only thing a DC ever did for me was keep me able to attend college classes (though he advised that I stay off my feet for 2 weeks) when I herniated a disc, and get me back up when it goes out (usually once a year) and help me with my adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) where I couldn't raise my right arm or reach for anything without pain. I told my PCP about what the DC was doing with my shoulder & he provided me with instructions for the same exercises my DC did. Chiropractic has worked for me. It's the equivalent of cracking my knuckles when my fingers need it, with the only difference being that the feeling of relief when my back goes into place is nirvana.

If you're saying that they aren't claiming to be a "Doctor of Chiropractic", then I'd agree. But as someone who checked into becoming one when I was deciding what to do with my life, the amount of classwork & training between a MD and a DC is comparable. If I'd have been better at Organic Chem, I might have gone for it. BTW - my last and current PCPs both go to their own Chiropractor.

What's your point? If you're saying that this particular person is running a scam, I could point to a number of "Doctors" that are too.

You've heard wrong.
