Logan Discussion [LOTS OF UNMARKED SPOILERS]
MEXobiologist replied to Master-Debater131's topic in Movies & Television
i also thought that the alz was a clever touch and it basically made the movie for me. so many violence, i was glad to see a more realistic perspective of what happens when you fight wolverine. everyone told me i was gonna cry n shit though, which did not happen. and while i thought she did a great job, the little girl consistently reminded me of Eleven from Stranger Things. so much so that it was like someone pointed a the tv and was like, "yeah, do that, be that character." now i know that isn't true and it didn't ruin the movie for me or anything. she was good and the movie was good. it was just the thing that i couldn't stop from noticing. also armpit stab fucking brutal -
Why weird? Was it really cray over there? It lulled me to sleep The lightening was intense!

i see. my dad goes through the drastic swings. he mostly experiences the severe mania for long stretches and then swings into a mild to severe depression.... but that doesn't last long. maybe 4-7 days-ish, give or take a day. very rarely does he stabilize between the two. he is also a sociopath and paranoid AF. which leads him to not trust any medical professionals and so, doesn't take medications because he does not believe his mental illnesses are real. thats why i asked anyways, because for some the moods are predictable in relative length. being that i know you recognize your bipolar disorder and medicate, i wondered if you were having a down time, maybe you also knew about how long before you would see the light at the end of the tunnel. its much like that for a good friend of mine. i think his symptoms are on the milder side tho.

i have a tie for this one olive oil, spinach, prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes, goat cheese, and mozzarella with a balsamic glaze. or mozzarella, goat cheese, sweet sausage, maple gravy, and a fried egg.

sleep in til 9 or 10am unless i went to bed after 5... which is almost never. then i don't think i have much of a routine per se. depends on the weather, what needs to be done, who else has the day off, and if any events are happening.

seems that a change in the types of food consumed and workout is the best method for weight loss anywho. or at the very least, there are tons of foods and spices that work as appetite suppressants if you just introduce them into your diet/eat more of them. i know a lot of people also swear by taking turmeric and apple cider vinegar as well. either by mixing it into a tonic or just taking the capsules and straight drinking a couple table spoons of the vinegar. i've been chopping up ginger root, cucumber, lemon, and adding 3 tbs of apple cider vinegar to a liter of water for a few weeks now. the chopped up bits last about 3 days before i change them. since doing even just that, i've noticed a decrease in the want to unnecessarily snack, even though that wasn't the reason i started doing it. no one thing is perfect for everyone tho, so you could just do a little research and try some things to see what does. pills are always gonna be a lil fucky with side effect risks. funny shit tho, my grandma was a nurse, so she had all kinds of access to shit back in the day. she would give my mom and her siblings diet pills back in the 60's whenever she wanted her whole house and yard cleaned up ZIPZIPZIP!!! hahahaha

how long do your depression phases usually last?
-
clothes usually, for the sake of people i live with. i don't think i do anything specially. if i know i'm not going anywhere for some time, most often i suppose i'll just be in leggings or some kind of cloth shorts with a weather appropriate comfortable top. biggest difference would be that i wear those lace or cotton bralettes, as opposed to a regular one.

Cuz you only 2d?

I'm working in a couple hours and my mother is not a sentimental woman. I said "happy mommas day" and she said "thank you my dear." And thats about it. But I've been buying all sorts of stuff for her yard and porch the last few weeks, so meh.

our fees just changed. its 15$ or 10% deposit, whichever is greater. 15$ cuz 5$ non refundable service fee that does not go toward the layaway. 10$ security fee in case a layaway is cancelled or unclaimed in the 30 days. but if you pick it up in time, that goes toward your layaway. no scheduled payments necessary either. just needs to be payed off and picked up within the 30 days. employees still have to put on the 15$ or 10% deposit but we don't actually get charged the fees. it just goes toward the layaway or comes back in full if we cancel.
