  1. "Public transportation just isn’t Walker’s thing; he once suggested his goal for transit was for every citizen to have a car."
  2. I found it, if anyone has time to kill and wants to get angry about Scott Walker. https://www.politico.com/agenda/story/2015/07/transportation-infrastructure-scott-walker-highways-000153/
  3. According to Politico, the judge gave DOJ until 3pm Friday to determine whether Trump objects or not to the unsealing, so it could be sooner than you think.
  4. He stopped all national news for a half hour not only to say he personally approved it, but to say he's asking the court to unseal the warrant absent objection from DJT. It puts the onus on Trump because Trump blasted it out to the world in the first place. So either Trump let's the court unseal it and show the world what the FBI was actually looking for, or Trump keeps it a secret. But it will be Trump's choice.
  5. I read somewhere this morning that the FBI was caught flatfooted because not only did they not want to draw attention to it, they didn't want to politicize it either. So then Trump immediately does both. I don't know it was true, all I know right now is as soon as I give in and go to the bathroom the stream will start. Some kind of Schrodinger's pants-shitting livestream over here. Edit: you're all welcome, I left and it started
  6. There was a politico magazine article back during the Scott Walker days about how Wisconsin was willing to spend like $3b on a mega interchange to save commuters 3 minutes in travel time, but was unwilling to invest $500k in a basic downtown light rail system where the residents don't own cars. I'ma have to find it because it's exactly what you're talking about.
  7. My guess is that it will provide underlying context behind the trump documents warrant and raid, but it's taking forever to start and I skipped pooping to not miss it. Squirming in my seat here.
  8. Stream is here, but hasn't started yet:
  9. He pled the fifth, and put out a press release explaining how he was wrong when he previously said "if someone pleads the fifth we know what that means!"
  10. I remember four loko getting banned. A then-Assemblymember chugged a bunch on camera to show the hammering happen in real time.
  11. this is presumably a prelude to the actual push on the city of kherson, but I've seen a fair bit of reporting on the pants-shitting that ukraine was able to reach a base in actual-crimea
  12. One more plus "free space" and you win bingo!
  13. as long as i don't violate admin NDAs
  14. Some things change, some stay the same. I was changing my youngest sibling's poopy diapers then, and I'm changing a different baby's poopy diapers now.
  15. It starts out convenient and satisfying, and that's when they hook ya. We're well past that phase now.
  16. We're heading for a huge contraction in the streaming market, but it won't lead to customer convenience or satisfaction.
  17. That's how you get disbarred.
  18. They've certainly made it clear a big factor in their willingness to negotiate with Dems is whether or not Biden is getting credit for anything else on the side (see: infrastructure/BBB; CHIPS/IRA, veterans/IRA, codifying marriage rights/IRA). Almost like there are ulterior motives.
  19. but pooh it's (GOP) states' (legislatures') rights
  20. iirc the White House had an old school agreement to nominate the one judge in KY and McConnell would agree to fast track a bunch of other confirmations. Not sure the merits of the deal, but the optics totally blew up in both sides' faces given the current reality of reality.
