  1. Yeah, because with everything else in the MCU crumbling, their main actor being a domestic abuser is just what they needed. As usual, waiting for evidence and hoping no one harasses the Jane Doe, who apparently showed signs of being assaulted, namely bruises and other injuries.
  2. The problem with doing a Succession parody is that Succession is already a black comedy/drama satire. It’s redundant.
  3. Looks like the strategy is lots of mid budget films with notable talent.
  4. …So is this supposed to be a Succession parody?
  5. If being a jerk was illegal, prisons would be even more crowded. I'll say this much, if Adult Swim and Hulu don't want Roiland back, expect one of the major streamers like Apple TV to acquire his services. Also, Rick and Morty style shows will continue.
  6. Shit is about to get ugly if he wants his jobs back .
  7. Still want some sort of advertising tie-in with Cobra Kai. That or Ohma as a guest fighter in Tekken 8.
  8. Not that I remember but trying to haul his drugged ass away might not have been worth it.
  9. Princeton winning the NCAA would be a win for snobs everywhere, so let’s hope they get knocked out at the Sweet 16. Anyone else watching?
  10. They're back! After Mike Lazzo ordered their cancelation following Season 11, the Aqua Teen returns for a direct to streaming movie that will launch the first of several new episodes. The plot? The film airs tonight at midnight.
  11. It’s a shame Discotek doesn’t have broadcast rights. Considering all the old head stuff they have, you could create an amazing block with their materials. Hell, even regular Adult Swim could air Street Sharks as a joke.
  12. I’m going to be here looking on at the other shows on HIDIVE that DeMarco would never have aired in a million years. Godannar, Majestic Prince, Princess Principal, Akhiba Maid War… How did the last season do ratings wise?
  13. Feels like we all want something to air from the Sentai catalog but the odds of any of them airing (Ushio and Tora, Godannar, Princess Principal) are low I would gather. Still, it all boils down to what Sentai wants to promote as well as what DeMarco wants to air.
  14. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/digital/sony-crunchyroll-specialty-streamer-asian-content-1235352518/ The parent that got the kids and the house in the split between Toonami and FUNi/Crunchyroll is getting spotlight articles in the trade papers about how a their focus on getting more anime and abandoning their originals (while also promoting more cultural stuff like their awards show) and how their control of the sector is parallel to Sony itself seeing themselves as an “arms dealer” to streamers at war.
  15. You’d think the country with more Michelin star restaurants per square foot than any other country would have more options.
  16. Eh, just because most of them do doesn’t mean I wouldn’t air one or two. It’s like visual novels, sure plenty suck, but that didn’t stop Stein’s Gate from existing.
  17. We have a character limit for thread titles. But I'll add a note. Edit - Huh. It fit.
  18. This is weird deconstruction/reconstruction of harem anime where the lead actually is forced to accept everyone and by some bizarre happenstance, the girls he gets are all cool with it. A lot of female VA's are about to get work.
  19. Cocaine Bear - 7/10 Fun monster movie that is ultimately a fairly standard take on the genre separated by its liberal use of black comedy and a few too many subplots for its own good. It still works mostly because the Cocaine Bear is a surprisingly sympathetic monster and the dialog is good. Also Ray Lilota seems to be having fun in his final movie.
  20. For those of you unwilling to pay for the film (fairly wise) and that don't have HBO Max, Aqua Teen Forever Plantasm has been delayed one week to March 19.
  21. The absolute worst way to look at a trend is from week to week, or God forbid, day to day. It will drive you utterly insane because change in entertainment and the timeframe for deals is in months, while production times range from months to years, especially with animation lead time (that is, the time it takes to make animation vs. actually airing it). Let Invincible and Allen the Alien explain the concept at roughly about 56 seconds. Point is, they're using MHA episodes now, presumably because stuff is either in the pipeline or deals are being made, but it might be a while before we see the results.
