  1. The Smashing Machine - 6.5/10. The Rock tries to act, and frankly feels like he’s stumbling as he goes outside his wheelhouse and tries and loses fights, which ironically makes it the most human performance from the Dwayne in a very long time. It’s also only the third most interesting story at the 2000 Pride Grand Prix, with Coleman’s struggles to keep his family above water only lightly touched up and the movie doing its absolute damndest to dance around Japan’s crisis of faith in pro wrestling as Kazushi Sakuraba went head to head with Royce Gracie after years of Japanese pro wrestlers getting their asses beat in real fights before Sakuraba emerged as a champion for Japanese puro.
  2. I know, I just get an eye twitch with Puritan talk in general. Poke’s innocent.
  3. Toonami fans acting like the anime world revolves around Toonami and that the majority of the world isn’t watching the show on other platforms. And a Puritan Toonami fan at that.
  4. It was inevitable in the streaming era some ass end block would disintegrate as linear television continues its inevitable march towards a decline.
  5. More bars should have Quick and Crash arcade cabinets.
  6. For reference, here’s the trailer. Proudly announcing it was in 2D. I’m betting the Simpsons Movie 2 trailer starts as a fake trailer for the second Infinity Castle movie.
  7. Even if the place was a dump, and apparently it was, it was still a symbol of the brand as a whole. Things like the Nickelodeon characters being licensed to indoor amusement parks and a resort in Cancun are examples of the strength of said brand. Here, meanwhile, it's just another example of Cartoon Network's brand being phased out.
  8. Dutch Wonderland is a Philadelphia amusement park which is next to the proposed site. Think a cheaper version of Disney resorts.
  9. Yaiba: Samurai Legend 24
  10. Fillet mignon, gremolata, baby tomatoes, and fries.
  11. And before you ask, no, the show is no closer to ending.
  12. Gatchiakuta 11-12.
  13. The Giants win now?! At least Philly won and beat the spread. Between that and Neil Magny pulling that submission out of his ass last night I’m up.
  14. https://variety.com/2025/film/news/tim-heidecker-eric-wareheim-writing-horror-script-1236523628/
  15. Neil Magny barely survives Round 1 to win me $70. Never bet against Neil.
  16. Roasted leg of lamb, potato salad, and well, regular salad. With a French red wine.
  17. My understanding is Genndy keeps pitching personal projects and they keep getting shut down. Now after Fixed flopped, Sony is even less willing to hear him out.
  18. Genndy tries to make a Genndy version of The Vision of Escaflowne minus the teenage schoolgirl.
  19. Honestly, while I don’t want to see a LA Demon Slayer, I kind of want the idea of making a live-action Demon Slayer and it going sideways to be a plot in the next season of The Studio.
  20. My free bets promotion made me do something I would never have done otherwise. Care about the WNBA.
  21. In hindsight, after Harry Goz died they knew they were done so they simply stopped giving a damn and vented about what pissed them off during scripting while thinking having everyone say vaginapenis constantly was funny.
