I think that's why the perspective keeps flipping between Mike and Jimmy. The cartel is gonna cross over and Chuck is gonna get it. And it will be glorious.
Compare the value of Netflix to all non-sports cable programming, to the HBO's of the world, etc. Cable TV is getting its ass handed to it. Why do you think I'm on about the app every few weeks?
Last time on Samurai Jack:
After everyone was done membering the last four seasons worth of characters, Ashi convinced Jack that he had a reason to live, and has been a positive influence on the world. Now Jack has resolved to recover his magic sword, the only weapon capable of defeating Aku and the former assassin is coming along for the ride.
Enjoy!
A stand up comedian who was one of the head writers of Chappele's Show and had a recounting role in Breaking Bad. He's known for being pretty damn foul mouthed but pretty funny.
Samurai Jack is getting critical praise and great ratings.
However, there seems to be one thing that is dividing people on the show. The new character Ashi. I don't think people hate her, but they are curious what direction Genndy is taking her.
Are her and Jack just enemies turned friends? Is this some father/daughter thing? Or are the two being set up romantically, dealing with her isolation and his consistent arc of loneliness?
She seems to be the sole thing people don't agree on. So discuss away. What should they do with her and what do you think they are doing with her?
Nah, I would just hope it was different enough from Logan. Because that movie was great.
Also, if you're going to go that route, don't show her naked ass in the hot spring. It's sending weird mixed signals.
As per usual, people are all "Ooh, it's problematic!" "Ooh, Ashi should be a lesbian!" "Ooh, father/daughter!"
After this episode, any veneer of that is completely gone.
...You know how a show like Sekirei can have metric tons of fanservice but grounds itself with likable characters and the boobs feel more like a side dish than the only thing the show has to offer?
Keijo...doesn't have anything but assess. Literally.
Random thoughts -
1. The Scatman is still alive and is still pretty damn hilarious.
2. "Member these episodes of Jack?" "Ooh, I member!"
3. So she was naked the entire time? Do you realize how much porn is going to be drawn of her now?
4. Jack's whole arc this season is how useless he feels in the grand scheme of things. This is actually a good way to deal with it.
5. At this point Genndy has dropped all pretense of Jack and Ashi being anything but a romance. Considering how the few times he had romances it was Aku screwing with him, it feels logical.
