Jeremy Jahns reviewed it and while he didn't hate it he concluded it would be better while drunk. Also, the plot sounds less Ghost in the Shell, and more Robocop.

No, Badlands sucks. And Iron Fist was far from perfect. It wasn't terrible, but the first half is slow and it builds, but there's a lot I would have done with the pacing and the early fight scenes. Badlands fucking sucks.

Willem Dafoe is the perfect Ryuk. Everything else is wait and see.

Patton Oswalt in the remake. I am down (in Deep 13).

I didn't get that far. Show sucks. The premise fucking sucks. When your premise sucks you are doomed.

...No Mochi. Badlands is just...bad. And it's like, you give me popcorn and a Shaw Bros. movie for two hours, and I'm pretty happy. Inframan was awesome, Master of the Flying Gulliotine and Five Deadly Venoms are classics, etc. But Badlands...sucked.

Badlands fucking sucks. The plot sucks, and I love Kung fu films and most of AMC's content. But it's fucking stupid.

Got kinda sick of people going "oh, watch Enter the Badlands instead!" when the premise makes no freaking sense and the first episode bored me to tears.

Well, at least the cheese is legal. Maybe Hulu can get it.

Second half blows the first half away. Too many people tried stoking controversy combined with a slow first half to dismiss the show when it ended up pretty good. Also fuck Enter the Badlands.

One Piece is gone and the ratings immediately rebound from their March Madness funk. Coincidence? YOU BE THE JUDGE.

Nothing is coming out this weekend but both #1 and #2 films have legs, especially Beauty and the Beast which is smashing records. Not to mention it's tempered by issues with the name, and the whitewashing controversy which has really upset people. Let's face it, compared to Beauty and the Beast and Power Rangers, Ghost and its box office appeal are comparatively minimal. This is new to most. And those it isn't probably don't want to see it for all the perceived slights. So #3 and dropping.

OK everyone - How do you think Ghost in the Shell will do at the box office? I predict a flat #3 performance, boosted by ScarJo's presence (see Lucy) but tempered by lousy reviews, the ongoing whitewashing controversy, and the fact that America really doesn't care about Ghost in the Shell.

Synergy! Although the movie is gonna bomb. Advanced previews are not good, everyone is hella mad about white Major, and there's two other big box office movers in theatres right now with more brand value, a live action remake of a cartoon, and a live action cartoon remade into a John Hughes film.
