I only watched one episode. It definitely didn't overcome its ridiculously stupid premise and get me to watch more. I think that it being about a fictional sport hurt it. I'd say the fact that it had no male MC and no harem antics probably was a killer. Also look at this episode description. I felt like HxH was finally starting to turn things around with Kurapica's arc.... and then this episode happens. Antiquing? Reminds me of the episode where they walk. Or wait in a room. Or open a door. Or talk on the phone. Or cook eggs. Gon and Killua are supposed to be the mc's... but so far they hurt the show more than help it.

After GT I always wondered what the hell was up with Toriyama and why doesn't he put a stop to this or exert some form of quality control? GT was such a pile of trash that they literally retconned the entire series and the epilogue of DBZ with UUB out of existence. And now the same level of awful is happening all over with Super. Maybe after Super finishes they'll retcon it out of existence for ... DRAGONBALL ULTRA!

Mob was one of the top anime of 2016. Even if the dub was available i'd guess it would cost quite a bit more.
