I don't understand your constant need to overuse hyperbole every time you post. At no time did I say no one thinks PTE is funny. The entire premise of this thread was that we all secretly love PTE. A lot of people dropped it after 1 episode.

Yeah people are already complaining, I won't talk about it any more here. What is the audience exactly? People stoned out of their minds? I enjoy some offbeat zany comedies but I just feel like PTE doesn't really work in what it's trying to do. I watched a clip of the "funniest" moments from the first 6 episodes and yeah... it didn't get better for me.

What, bad story.... bad power scaling.... bad character development, no stakes? Yeah it still has all that.

I like a lot of random humor, but PTE doesn't do it for me. ATHF and Teen Girl Squad are ultra random and I always liked both of those.

Eh I'd disagree with that. DBZ had its problems but it actually had excitement, interesting characters and a lot of great moments. The first 110 episodes of Super has none of that. The difference between the two may seem a bit nuanced and hard to discern to someone who isn't a DBZ fan but as a DBZ fan there's definitely a difference. You can actually see a huge difference in Super in the first 110 episodes, and the last 25 episodes where they actually spent their time, effort and money.

Interesting change, I think it's actually a good idea. The final countdown to having no Dragonball has started and they need to start trying to find out what kind of shows they can use as their lead show. I mean, ideally it would be something new, but this is their best lead show atm.

Really? What was the punchline in the Skyrim sketch? How about the Chrono Trigger sketch? Keep in mind I only saw 15 minutes of material from this show, but from what I saw it's just randomness without punchlines. What was the punchline here?

Eh, it retained worse than Reruns of FLCL last week. If you aired it right after Super you'd probably see the lowest retention we've ever seen. BC is bad, but it's main badness stems from being an amalgamation of every Shonen from the last 20 years. If it came out 20 years ago we'd probably all think it was top tier anime. If you just generally like most Shonen you'll probably like BC, because it's literally most Shonen. Terrible choice for Toonami? Yeah definitely. The ratings for PTE aren't disastrous... if anything it proves you can basically air an off the air sign and still get almost 400k viewers. Most people here just don't like the show, it's not really about the ratings. A poorly drawn oddball comedy that lacks punchlines and repeats itself after 15 minutes was never going to have much appeal to most Toonami fans.

Well objectively speaking.. it's an awful awful show. It's still in the movie recap arcs and it's just as bad as I remember.

It's a formula that could work, but they got really lazy with it. Every week they meet a stand user, can't figure out that it's a stand user, get dominated by the stand user, then completely own the stand user with some complete ass pull.

I think we can all agree that Owl is shallow and pedantic.
