How are you cleaning them? If you are using Q-Tips, it might be pushing the excess wax back and therefore, still leaving you with disgusting ears. You can purchase one of those at home ear wax cleaning kits or make a trip to the doctor for an effective ear cleaning. Also, hydrogen peroxide is a good option for dissolving ear wax, too. I wouldn't use it too often, however, because hydrogen peroxide does eat away at matter. Good luck.
