You need to prepare better for these things. You bring extra magazines with you and as you read them during layovers, you can just recycle them right there. If you really want to see how large of a privacy space you can create, bring a magazine that is something completely innocent but has some sort of centerfold thing going on. And then slowly pull down the centerfold and stare at it for a while. Cat Fancy is really good for that but even Popular Mechanics type magazines with schematics can cause people to gather up their kids and scatter.

Especially in WalMart parking lots. They have the most vans and the bestest candy. Winter is coming.

Walked through the doors at work this morning. Shitmas music was already playing through the speakers. Corporate controlled, there's no escaping it unless the satellite goes down.

I haven't heard anything via McGruder. I'm guessing that if there is a major announcement, he has his own means for that. [ as ] may go bump route as is usual. If the R&M marathon hadn't already been scheduled, programmed in and announced they might have played some episodes. The only thing I do know is it was cardiac arrest. Beyond that, unknown.

I hate the crapmas season. It was nothing but stress and trauma growing up. Halloween is where it's at. I do put up a sock for the beasties halfway through December though for Yule. That way my foul mood doesn't completely affect the fuzz ball [ the keets could care less ] . Every day that it's up, she'll go and sit under it for a bit and look at it like a little kid patiently waiting for presents.

I don't think it's as sudden as it seems. I recall hearing a while back that he'd been feeling under the weather. Sometimes it doesn't take much. Not to say this doesn't still seem like a shock. He could have been sick and just not said anything to anyone so they wouldn't worry. He could have just not known anything was wrong.
