  1. Luuv was arguably a paragon of this kingdom of shit. And he managed to survive it for 14 years? My god. In the end, I thank him for introducing me to the old ASMB (I joined in April 2014), and his unbridled enthusiasm managed to make me see it for what it really is... a rather decrepit place, yes, but one with people who genuinely care about things. As well as the belief that me could be one of them. There's a lot of people I think I'm better off having known and hobbies I'm happy to have (content ratings!) because of him, and his little slice of heaven, but I want to keep the spotlight on him and nobody else. You got up, but now you'll never get down. Rest in all the platitudes, and do say hi to Chris for me if you have the chance. I didn't know him until it was too late.
  2. I was actually thinking of if Black Clover would be a valid replacement for DBZ. I know nothing about it other than that it's an up-and-coming Shonen Jump property, but that's arguably the point.
  3. [I tried to start shit]
  4. Just from the sound of it, Live PD has the same general appeal as Cops, but this time it's definitely live. Though I honestly hold the opinion that a lot of people watch it merely because they might see a black guy get shot. I'm not sure why so many younger people would be intrrested in this show, however, with general distrust of the police seemingly getting bigger every year. :painfap:
  5. Like... politics? I had to stop following him on Twitter because his feed made me think he was so perpetually miserable. I would actually prefer he get sacked just so we can have someone who is excited about things and/or open to criticism of the block.
  6. Well... out of all those, I think new Outlaw Star is the least likely to happen. You most likely came up with it off the top of your head. Maybe they could instead go for more Big "O". A third season of that was floated (and the ending made more vague to potentially accommodate it) before the high brass at Turner got cold feet and walked away. New HxH and a Vento Aureo adaptation will probably happen at some point, assuming those franchises remain profitable. Though if there's nothing new for the former by 2019, yet there's enough manga material to do something, I guess Toonami and Viz could partner up and try to make more. It'd be too audacious not to try. That last one is by far the most interesting choice. I'd like to imagine, if Toonami were given a blank canvas to make any Gundam thing, they would come up with a show like G Gundam, or at least one with elements of the Super Robot genre, since the recent choices for this current block have not been so successful. But you never know.
  7. I think I've said this before, but do we have the data to prove college football has ever been a particular downer towards Toonami? I guess you wouldn't be saying this unless it was true, but you are OwlChemist[?], after all. I'm just going to assume there won't be an overlap. Chances are, someone who likes both would only miss Toonami if a team they like lots and lots plays a game at the same time.
  8. Co-productions were something we all pretty much dreamt about in Toonami's early days, but never expected to become reality. And yet now, world premieres are pretty much how Toonami will be forced to stay in business if they want to. Talk about ironic.

    Luuv

Well fuck this shit. I thank Luuv for merely bringing me to a community I thought was cancerous... but actually turned out benign. Even to this day, however, it still smells. Which is why I wanted to give it a fresh orange scent. <3
  11. In regards to the general lack of promotion? That's more of a flaw inherent in the system, but it could easily be fixed.
  12. Outlaw Star doesn't even have an episode title nor content rating up there yet and it's just three days away. Methinks those schedule people are being lazy.
  13. Birdy the Mighty: Decode 02 #12 Akame ga Kill! #5 Knight's & Magic #1 (dubbed) and #7 Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. #7
  14. JoJo's at least held steady for its own timeslot, which is about what I'd ask for. And BTW, on the topic of ads during Rick and Morty, this thing with Old Spice has actually been happening for a while. They had advertising during every new episiode of Samurai Jack as well.
  15. The current talk of why Toonami isn't airing these new shows makes me wonder if maybe airing more Simuldubs is actually the solution. Obviously, the shows might not be good, but Dimension W rated very well on here even despite that. I recommend they cut a deal with Funi to air three or four of these shows a year... probably one per season unless there's something really popular that's more than one cour. Maybe they could start with Attack on Titan S3.
  16. Surely, this will be what tips the scales in Netflix's favor and erases their $20B of debt.
  17. Really? I think it's okay. Far from your stupidest reason, at least.
  18. Birdy the Mighty: Decode 02 | Cipher 11... ~Both Sides Now~
  19. Why does every single thread you make ask a question that I have to click on it to find out the answer to? And why are most of them about homosexuality?
  20. I don't know if Netflix has either version of the show, but the dub might as well be somewhere other than Funi's own site because of how popular it is in general. So keep an eye out. EDIT: Okay, I guess not. Maybe DeMarco just spoiled them adding the dub, but Funi usually prefers to have stuff stay on their own service..
  21. Now it's implied they got My Hero Academia. Though some people of this forum would be happy with that one.
  22. Or maybe it's DIO now, I don't know. I hope you enjoy the episode. Let it feel good enough to get you through the next week. Also, in the short term, the first showing of "Walk Like an Egyptian" should be at the end of this one. No flaming nor unwanted trolls, because I'm pretty sure #WeGotThis. And cue the emoji spam. :fap:
  23. I like having a few days to digest what I just watched before seeing another episode. Sometimes, it's the only way things can make sense.
  24. Netflix simulcasts American shows in some foreign countries (like Rick and Morty) and those actually come out on a weekly basis. So naturally, every anime fan is asking why they don't do it here. I would like to see them put up the subtitled version as-is and save the binging for the dub's release.
  25. I blame this more on two popular shows getting snared in the Funiroll deal than any scale of badness. Even Mr. Osomatsu doesn't have a dub yet, and its second season is coming out in October.
