  1. The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater S3E6 Sweet Punishment #1 to #3 The latter's sub has actually been out for months. I didn't know because I never looked at Sukebei.
  2. I don't mean to complain, but reading text like this just bugs the hell out of me. The first part shouldn't be capitalized, and the last is spelled wrong.
  3. Speaking of going for the classics... Nichijou #2 iDOLM@STER Cinderella Typing Out the Full Title is Annoying S3E5 [web episodes are kill]
  4. Most of the DB fans I've seen seem to think the Universe Survival arc has the same problems as the rest of the show, and in some ways, they're doubled down on. On the other hand, at least the last few episodes of it are great.
  5. Well, that's going to confuse people. Why not rerun Progressive's premiere a third time instead?
  6. They didn't do a marathon for the 4th of July this year, so I'd like to believe that they've gotten more sane about planning them. As for Attack on Titan, it has no TV-MA episodes. The sixth episode of S1 was apparently rated TV-MAV at some point, but they changed it to 14DLV before it aired, like what was done with an episode of Space Dandy. Regardless, they could absolutely air reruns at 8:30 if they wanted to.
  7. Way to go, slugger. Attack on Titan gets a much better slot for its new season, but might be slightly disadvantaged as the third show on the block. On the other hand... man, they're really trying to make Deku and friends be popular. We'll see if that translates to better ratings, since this show has been shitting the bed relative to DB Super seemingly even by the normal standards. Objectively, the best part of this schedule will be not having the content warning come on midway through the hour anymore. That's always bugged the shit out of me.
  8. A lot of the hate for that show is because many think "being cliche = bad", but the truth is, you can have a show that's jam-packed with tropes of all sorts and have it still be a hit. I felt that way about Megalo Box; the content of the show is your typical "average Joe tries to become a boxing champion", but how everything is presented elevates it into an excellent production. On the other hand, BC's animation and composition leave much to be desired. I still don't understand the "PPTP doesn't have punchlines" argument, but considering that this thread has taken a political turn, I'll probably flee it forever before I try to answer that again.
  9. Yeah, the whole "Stand user of the week" formula has gotten really tedious after more than forty episodes. Diamond is Unbreakable apparently has a more serialized plot, so I'm hoping to not get burnt out on it. The other big complaint I have with this season is that pretty much everyone except Jotaro gets character development, with Polnareff often hogging up the running time with that story about... wasn't it his girlfriend? That's another problem DiU apparently fixes.
  10. Why do you have to come up with pedantic facts for every single thing Toonami does? It takes the fun out of everything. Anyway, the fact that they've waited this long to announce expansion alongside AoT S3 blows my mind. There's no good reason why they can't tell the audience what to expect. I guess the reason why they started waiting until closer to a show's premiere was there were sudden problems with the contract that would come up and they would have to change the date and/or time. But... come on, that shouldn't be an issue at a month out from the premiere, let alone two weeks.
  11. Was it Paul? I know I saw him saying that the Boruto announcement "saved" Toonami. But even if he did, he's probably not as judgmental as AnimeSavior, who blocks anyone remotely critical (even jokingly so) of the Sword Art Onlines.
  12. I don't think the last music video ("Ferromagnetic Flow") had any PPTP clips, but the semi-recent "Growing" speech did, and I think what they used fit well. Unfortunately, I agree. The recent storyline with the King playing board games has been almost torturously boring, although I think the most recent episode improved things a little bit. Still, if I ever want to rewatch Chimera Ant, I'll probably skip really big chunks of it.
  13. From an objective standpoint where "mistakes" directly lead to the block being damaged, the only one Toonami made was doing another Month of Movies in 2014... and even then, that was part of a string of several blunders (AoT reruns, et al.) that lead to the big block cut a few weeks later. On the other hand, rag on Pop Team Epic all you want, but its ratings are A-OK. The fact that the block's numbers keep going down and yet we're about to expand to 10:00 p.m. seems to indicate that everyone is blithely ignoring current trends, and I do hate that. Now, if we're going to talk about stuff Toonami did that we personally don't like, I have a couple choices. Airing Tokyo Ghoul long after the height of its popularity wasn't a good look, especially since it was one of the few totally unique shows they aired in 2017. I also don't think they should've gone for Black Clover, regardless of the actual quality of the show. Right now, it's basically dead weight that few people care about.
  14. You can't say PPTP did badly when we don't know how well My Zero Academia's retention was. Honestly, I'm surprised this thread hasn't been flooded with snide comments about that show; Jman said he didn't like it, and there were also complaints about a betrayal of its premise. You guys can't even be consistent with scapegoating. [this is not funny]
  15. You know, I've asked for Toonami to do at least a tiny bit more advertising outside of the block... but since the FLCL Progressive promo that aired during an NBA playoff game seemingly failed to inflate the numbers, I guess I see their logic in it now. On the other hand, I like that we're getting show announcements earlier than usual as of late, even though Viz is probably contributing more to that.
  16. I did not read anything like that. Also, since they're airing the next part of JoJo's, shouldn't the number be five?
  17. The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater S3E3 Recovery of an MMO Junkie #3 The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater S3E4 Nichijou: My Ordinary Life #1 At this point, I barely even care. Something needs to get posted. Why it took so long is as big of a mystery as why there wasn't a web episode of CG Gekijou this week.
  18. Or you could not watch the rerun at all, like so many other people do.
  19. Is this the one that was previewed on Pre-Flight? If so, that's pretty surprising.
  20. Presumably, you posted an episode discussion thread in the wrong forum. That's a pretty sane mistake.
  21. It's official: Viz Media loves Toonami. They'll probably be at second base by the 11th. At this point, I think it's likely Megalo Box premieres in the next (early) open slot, and we get OPM S2 immediately afterward.
  22. Wouldn't any hair he has stand up, though? It would probably be noticeable even with a notably shorter cut. Maybe the solution would be to just go bald, and wear a wig instead of normal hair... or maybe he'd settle for a hat.
  23. It's currently in Netflix jail. On the plus side, if the show is at all transphobic, at least being able to binge all the episodes will make the discourse more tolerable.
