  1. Their rationale this time will probably be that each FLCL season is only six episodes, so they're unlikely to be pulled... even though that happened with Samurai Jack S5 after just three of them.
  2. Seriously? From my limited experience with the app, they made it better than ever. But now it's prone to not working at all for long stretches of time? That's just rubbish.
  3. I think coming out the same season as King's Game actually hurt Evil or Live a lot. There isn't enough space in an anime season for multiple shows full of schlocky cheese, especially when one of them is far more (in)competently made. The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater (TV) S2 #3 to #7
  4. Interviews with Monster Girls #2 Megalo Box #5 I'm all for dubbing this show quickly just so Jman doesn't have to yell about it for the next few months.
  5. Wow, you've gone from being lukewarm on the show to almost a parody of yourself. At least this one isn't homophobic... by some extremely skewed standards.
  6. You could just write the first episodes off as early installment weirdness. Maybe the author didn't even know what story they wanted to write at first? As I've said before, the vast majority of people completely glossed over this plot point, kept watching the show, and now cannot stop gushing about it. That's got to account for something.
  7. I'm not giving a shit about MHA's ratings. It can be the biggest failure in Toonami history for all I care, but I'll still watch the show every week and try to like it.
  8. What did it say? A TV-14LV instead of just the V? The fact that it didn't even show My Hero Academia's rating, nor its episode title (which, admittedly, the cable guides also skipped) is enough ammo to not trust it. Here are some thoughts: My Hero Academia: So the world went from being completely normal, to just having a bunch of superheroes show up one day. That's a pretty fun premise. It is a little surprising that the world immediately warmed up to them rather than some Incredibles-type shit happening where they caused property damage and unknowingly made things worse. It's nice to see some more idealistic superhero stories, of course. I like Deku as an MC; the show isn't saying that he can't become a hero every ten seconds (it's closer to every minute instead, which is more tolerable), but he's such a nice, optimistic dude in general. Bakugo is an asshole through and through, but I'm sure the show will eventually portray him in a more approachable light, while All Might is the gold standard of the supers, with no negative qualities other than being really scraggly and weak-looking when he isn't transformed. On the other hand, that's a nice quality to have, because if you ever need a secret identity in this world (I don't know if they actually exist), all you need to do is hide somewhere and transform. Don't do it in a bathroom stall, though; Saki might be waiting. For me, the two disappointments of this episode are that "shit" is apparently censored in this show (which has to be a licensor request), and we didn't get to see Deku's father and his fire-breathing Quirk. This was otherwise a solid premiere. FLCL: Talk about... uh, explicit. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: This was just an amazing episode. I think if I ever want to teach people what JoJo's is all about, this is one of the arcs I'd show them. Everything is just so crazy, and without much crude weirdness. In general, this one felt like a much-needed palate cleanser after the WTF-inducing Alessi episodes. Hunter x Hunter: I've never seen an anime character who was yandere for multiple guys until now. Come on, it just doesn't work that way. Still, that must have been the best part of the episode, because I can barely remember anything from Killua's fight, if it was even that long.
  9. I prefer to remove any formatting from my text beforehand. Just dump it in the address bar, then copy and paste it back.
  10. Honestly, you're getting annoying with this critique. I don't disagree with it, but can you at least let up for just a little bit and see if anything beyond the second episode is good?
  11. So Jotaro managed to smuggle some cigs and a drink onto the playing table when D'Arby wasn't looking... or rather, nobody was. This seems reminiscent of the very first episode, when he was able to get a radio into his jail cell under similar circumstances. I wonder if these powers are connected somehow...
  12. If I was in Dan Harmon's position, I probably would've left the show out of shame due to the whole Szechuan sauce thing. How can you come back from a scandal that led to literal riots at various McDonalds locations, all over a tiny packet of bitter-tasting slop?
  13. I typically take whatever thread is at the bottom as having won. Maybe, if someone wants to win it this time, they can use the extremely accurate time-positioning powers of this website.
  14. I'm still wondering if I should lash out at this community for being even more autistic than I think of myself, but in the end, I guess I'll just keep tolerating it for as long as I can. After all, we might be good people. [you look everywhere except beside you]
  15. It makes more sense to play the dub of something that you've already aired that way for two seasons. This is a hard no. We're not going to get GGO Alternative's dub, if Toonami even wants to air it, for a couple of months after the show ends. In fact, it could on Crunchyroll, since they recently added the dub of SAO II and have also exclusively streamed Aniplex shows like Granblue Fantasy in English.
  16. Yeah, this is far from the best the UEMB has to offer. It's a big step up from anything hosted by [adult swim], though.
  17. Magical Girl Ore #5 No Game, No Life 0 The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater (TV) #13 to #15 and S2 #1 and #2 The iDOLM@STER #24
  18. On the contrary, I think classic texting abbreviations are a sign of intelligence, even when used unironically.
  19. I guess I must be the only person who rates all of their shows as uncut. Personally, if I were to run my own TV network for some reason, nothing would be edited. I would make sure to put on some great shows with interesting ratings, though. It helps that there's little profanity in most anime, regardless of if they're dubbed or subbed, and there usually aren't many nipples actually drawn The iDOLM@STER Episode 23: "ME"
  20. For what it's worth, you can block whoever you even have mild disagreement with. About Megalo Box, it's only being streamed by Crunchyroll. Coincidentally, shows with that distinction tend to see delays with being dubbed. Re:Zero came out all the way back in Spring 2016 and is only getting a home video release soon. The benchmark seems to be two years on average, and therefore, I don't think we're going to see this get dubbed for a while. Maybe in early 2020, you can talk to CR about it.
  21. Mr. Osomatsu #17 The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater #6 to #10 How to Keep a Mummy #3 Megalo Box #4
  22. Man, it feels like it's been a while since a JoJo's episode totally enthralled me, but that rambling, gambling episode did the trick. It was quite hilarious to see that the entire confrontation with D'Arby happened in a packed cafe with lots of people watching. It's especially weird considering that Stands are only visible to other Stand users, so how the hell did Polnareff and Jotaro's souls coming out of their bodies and being molded into poker chip-shaped pizza dough by Osiris appear to the passerby in there? I also just realized this not long ago, but the cafe they were in somewhat resembled the Lemon Beach House, at least to me. I guess that fits the mold of people treating Squid Girl's appearance as being completely normal.
  23. It depends. I've seen some anime, albeit mostly stuff like Hand Shakers, be given craptastic scores. It probably depends on the reviewer; at least for an established franchise like Tokyo Ghoul, you can grab someone who liked the previous seasons, and thus are more likely to give it a good score. Now, it's probably not a good idea to try and contradict the majority opinion with one review (if it is that way), but considering that I previously railed against OwlChemist for doing that, I guess I just wanted to be a hypocrite. Regarding GGO Alternative, the fact that there is no death game is one of its biggest selling points. The plot is nowhere near as dramatic, but I think the protagonist discovering herself through this VRMMO with guns makes for just as entertaining of a show.
