  1. The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater S3E3 Recovery of an MMO Junkie #3 The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater S3E4 Nichijou: My Ordinary Life #1 At this point, I barely even care. Something needs to get posted. Why it took so long is as big of a mystery as why there wasn't a web episode of CG Gekijou this week.
  2. Or you could not watch the rerun at all, like so many other people do.
  3. Is this the one that was previewed on Pre-Flight? If so, that's pretty surprising.
  4. Presumably, you posted an episode discussion thread in the wrong forum. That's a pretty sane mistake.
  5. It's official: Viz Media loves Toonami. They'll probably be at second base by the 11th. At this point, I think it's likely Megalo Box premieres in the next (early) open slot, and we get OPM S2 immediately afterward.
  6. Wouldn't any hair he has stand up, though? It would probably be noticeable even with a notably shorter cut. Maybe the solution would be to just go bald, and wear a wig instead of normal hair... or maybe he'd settle for a hat.
  7. It's currently in Netflix jail. On the plus side, if the show is at all transphobic, at least being able to binge all the episodes will make the discourse more tolerable.
  8. At this point, I actually don't disagree. I went from adoring the show after the first episode, even though it leaned too much on the original, to thinking it's merely decent.
  9. The DIO plot does completely wrap up with Part 3, so I can understand if you don't want to go further. On the other hand, I've seen praise given to every single subsequent JoJo's part, and this crazy Stand action does appeal to me, so I'm in this franchise for the long haul. For what it's worth, Diamond is Unbreakable is more of a stand-alone story compared to the first three parts. It's also much smaller in scope, being the first part to take place completely in Japan. As I've alluded to before, I wonder if Toonami viewers will be disappointed that it isn't a nation-hopping chase adventure with a gigantic scope and larger stakes.
  10. Since the second half has a lot of artsy and experimental episodes, there's a notable difference between the two halves which makes the show as a whole more polarizing. Personally, I prefer the first half, although the "second season premiere" with all the alternate universe Dandies is my favorite episode of the whole show.
  11. I remember Jman saying that he hated the Naruto manga's ending, having a bit to do with the shipping, and thought it invalidated a lot of what made the work great.
  12. There was one tweet that seemed to indicate he was posting child porn to his personal blog, but it was actually just video of a children's choir singing a song with dirty lyrics. This guy has had a fucked-up sense of humor over the years, which extends to most of his filmogrophy, but he seems pretty nice, and not deserving of any of this shit coming to him. Basically, I plead the majority's response.
  13. DeMarco has said that more non-action shows are coming... I guess we can hold him to his word on that, because he's had a good recent track record. The thing is, even though I've skipped Shippuden every week for probably a few years now, I'm actually going to give Boruto a chance. People have apparently said it's good, if only because it's not Shippuden and doesn't have the problem with endless uninteresting filler. I hope it's something refreshingly different among the anime I watch, and even compared to the rest of Toonami.
  14. So, since my series would be animated by Kinema Citrus, if I post a synopsis of it, Toonami might get Revue Starlight... or, even better, Scorching Ping Pong Girls! At this point, there's about a 105% chance it replaces Pop Team Epic. The timeslots line up like a good, non-verbal french kiss.
  15. The backdoor schedule is out for August 11, and it has some interesting changes: One episode of Rick and Morty replaced with an encore of the previous week's new Venture Bros., and Ballmastrz returns to airing right after Toonami with two episodes. No anime is showing yet, but that's to be expected. If they are doing expansion, they should be able to move everything up and tank Cleveland, but that would also be a strange pre-Toonami schedule. And once Cleveland leaves, they can just add another R&M and repeat the VB encore.
  16. If Bob's does that well at 10:30, it's presumably leading into an hour of Family Guy that still gets 1.5M+ viewers. [as] is going to hold on to these show harder than ever now that they've actually lost two of them. I think the most likely candidates for an 8:30 anime rerun are Naruto: Shippuden (because obviously) and... uh, Black Clover. You might laugh and/or cringe in horror, but I still think the production companies want that show to be a hit, or at least a bigger hit than it currently is, so they'd let it play in primetime without anyone having to ask.
  17. And here's a source for that. I actually can't come to a conclusion that [as] is losing the show, if only because of what happened with Futurama where Comedy Central was still able to air it with Syfy. We'll probably know for sure within the next few weeks.
  18. Just because you said that, I bet the ratings are gonna go even lower when AoT S3 premieres. As in, Dragon Ball Super fails to get 700K on a weekly basis.
  19. Okay, why in the fuck is Alchemist amused at every other reply on this page?
  20. Well, would you look at what Jason just posted... there's even an interesting bit about One Piece.
  21. Turner has outright said they don't trust the Nielsen ratings anymore. It took me a while, but after seeing Toonami get lower and lower and yet the block was apparently still doing well enough to expand, with comments from DeMarco to compliment that, I've all but stopped trying to look for anything meaningful in the raw numbers. Looking at it from another angle, this idea seeks to spread division within the Toonami fandom, and it overrides a lot of meaningful discussion about the shows themselves. To hell with all that.
  22. With ratings this bad, why even bother discussing them?
  23. "Vehement hatred"? I thought that mentality only existed on the ASMB. Nowadays, if you visit Twitter, you're more likely to hear someone yelling about the new She-Ra cartoon. Really weird live-action shows are pretty far back on the list of priorities.
  24. For some reason, I have a gut feeling that Madoka Magica is going to replace the Space Dandy rerun. Toonami could presumably manage that, even with two dub premieres ready to air the following week.
