To each their own, I happen to really love Hellsing as a horror occult themed anime. I disagree about it being a useless plot element. I would agree if it was the soul plot element to emphasize such a disdain but from what I've seen so far it is not. It's important to note that Hellsing and Berserk depict male rape only, e.g. males are the victims. If you don't like seeing anything with sexual violence I highly suggest figuring out which chapters have it before you start reading. The rapes in Berserk, in particular, are imo far more graphic than what I've seen in Goblin Slayer thus far. For some it does not matter the purpose for such content, to me it does. I am not a fan of harem animes or anything in which characters are being unrealistically fawned at and having their clothes ripped off - because I find it to be completely pointless. Showing tragedy is not pointless to a story though as long as it's not overused. If the entire show becomes nothing but gratuitous rape scenes then I will probably be in agreement with you. Nevertheless, this subject is particularly difficult to watch and I would strongly warn anyone thinking about watching this if you can not handle the subject matter at all you should skip this show.

Let me just say this, the purpose behind the sexual violence is meant to demonize those perpetrating it. It is the same reason it is present in Hellsing and Berserk.

I say it's not pointless because it's not there just for shock value alone. It is there to illustrate the coming story about the protagonist (the goblin slayer) and why he hates them as a nemesis. It is there to disgust the reader as a purpose of the plot.

Overlord's not really a straight parody, it's not like foremost a comedy. But it has undeniable satirical elements against the tropes found in Overlord's peers. For instance, the whole concept of Ains having a harem of females (which are intentionally overly aggressive to point out the ridiculousness of the idea in the first place) and is also a skeletal undead which physically is incapable of arousal is a prime example. There are other examples, but I think you understand what I mean.

Overlord is a parody, but it's funny because it's also a better Isekai than most tryhard shows even (in a non-parody sense).

Index 3 hasn't yet been licensed, unfortunately (in the west), it will be but it's being held up. I'm excited to see season 3 though, and will def be reviewing it.

Btw if you expect Boruto to be anything like Shippuden, it will not be like that for quite a while. There isn't much hard action in it until about episode 20ish. Most of the early portions of the anime are kind of establishing world building differences between the new modern shinobi world and the world as it was during Naruto's youth. With the exception about 3 arcs which are about 5 episodes each the first 60ish episodes are like that mostly slice of life with a little action, heavy emphasis on introducing characters, setting up backgrounds, and world building. A lot of people have hated on it for being starkly "softer" at first than the original. I happen to like the structure of the story better than the original but I'm probably in the minority there as I like long built up stories as long as they aren't poorly structured or nonsensical (in relation to their own world). What I definitely do like: Sarada easily the greatest child improvement over her parents both in character and in the way she is utilized in the story. She's useful and relevant unlike Sakura and is not overtly depressing and nihilistic like Sasuke. Boruto is actually a deeply flawed character, but it works with the direction of the story. Fair warning much about his character is somewhat unlikeable until the arc around episode 60 in which there are rather dramatic improvements imo. Mitsuki is easily my favorite character but he won't show up for several episodes (I think 12ish before he appears maybe?)

I'll update this as I get around to watching more stuff. Thus far I have been watching (from this season): Golden Kamuy Season 2 - Highly recommend this series in general, the first season came out earlier this year. If you like animes with strange or unique plot points this will likely be up your alley. Goblin Slayer - Intense and dark themed anime. A lot of people are comparing this to Berserk and supposedly the manga is more intense than the first episode that is out. Warning: If you have a hard time watching anything with sexual violence or rape you probably will want to skip this. Keep in mind this anime doesn't have a pointless depiction of sexual violence and isn't intended to glorify it, rather it is there to disgust the viewer and illustrate the existential evil and horror of the world it takes place in. Radiant - Good anime thus far (only one episode), it has a very generic start from what I can tell but I see potential in certain elements the world building looks like it could easily go to unique places as apparently, the world consists of floating sky islands. I like the attitude and design of the main character's mentor, the art was pretty good I thought and the character designs were stylized well. All of the important characters thus far have stood out in a unique way. Not seen enough of the MC to decide whether or not he is a decently constructed protagonist yet or not.

Bro, I am sorry but I totally do not recall that arc of Naruto happening like that with the exception of him saying he was prettier than sakura. There's nothing necessarily gay about that though. I'd have to look into the original Japanese to be sure, sometimes things get lost in translation that do kind of indicate things but I'm not aware of that particular instance being one of them. An instance of this that I do know about exists in Hunter x Hunter when Killua uses language which is commonly used in a romantic sense to describe Gon. I think it was like "You are my light" or something like that. Also if anything Boruto has what could be construed as a more overt homosexual tone in Mitsuki's character, though it's not really clear that he is. The implication is certainly there. I'm not sure if AS has gotten to Mistuki's character yet though. He is one of the main characters in the series though.
