I gotta watch the dub to really judge, but I saw the dub of Free and didn't get gayer vibes in that version Honestly, all this gay themes in Funimation shows are the result of the Japanese realizing "oh right WOMEN and GAYS like watching anime!" finally. Is that a coincidence, or did they really outright say they're gonna support gay rights?

So far, the trailers showed that it will fill that rating.

..... you know.... this dip in ratings could theoretically be BECAUSE Super premieres at 8! People already saw the ep, so why bother returning to Toonami that night to rewatch the same episode, and thus, tune in for the rest of the block??

They got Gurren Lagaan and Soul Eater long after they stopped being revelant, and those got good ratings.

No one can know, or have any evidence to support their point, that Toonami is going to end in 1-2-3 years. I realized that long ago and have since stopped making predictions.

.... sorry but how often does Funi actually screw something up? I only heard that they're top of their game and have been for years, and on the blue moon chance that they DO screw something up, they're quick to apologize on social media, even when it's something out of their hands like the tapes from Japan coming in late for dubs.

If Disney picked up One Piece, you'd know they would edit it to high heaven.

: ( I hear that. It sucked way back when it was dubbed by 4Kids. It had the worst luck. It's format and sheer # of episodes working on an American TV network is like trying to fit a triangle in a square hole.

..... no I don't think so. I think they should've started more toward the beginning of the story. I also think they were too quick to move it down down down later in the night, which OF COURSE results in bad ratings.

Sadly, I think it will. That's how trends start, and once it does it's near impossible to stop it.

Still, it makes me a bit sad because it reinforces the stigma to uninformed viewers that Disney is the only successful entertainment company if you want action cartoons on TV.
