  1. Justice Department directs prosecutors to probe local efforts to obstruct immigration enforcement https://apnews.com/article/justice-department-immigration-enforcement-f0e3fc616da9746796378d1cd6385b1b?taid=6790f0d08a94cf00010c5472 "The Justice Department is directing its federal prosecutors to investigate for potential criminal charges any state or local officials who stand in the way of beefed-up enforcement of immigration laws under the Trump administration, according to a memo to the workforce obtained by The Associated Press on Wednesday. The memo, written by acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, also instructs the Justice Department’s civil division to work with a newly formed Sanctuary Cities Enforcement Working Group to identify state and local laws and policies that “threaten to impede” the Trump administration’s immigration efforts and potentially challenge them in court." This might be the most impactful thing Trump has done yet. Sanctuary Cities have been harboring illegals for years, and refusing to cooperate with ICE even when criminals were held in jail. The Memo that was sent out also reminds people of the Supremacy Clause and reminds them that it is illegal to interfere with Federal law enforcement activities. Good. If these virtue signalers really want to keep protecting people here illegally then they can prove it by going to jail. Missed this part: That gives it real teeth where if someone declines to pursue charges they must provide a reason for that, and it gets run up the chain quickly. The Swamp wont be able to protect its own with this move.
  2. More good news. The people who knowingly lied about the Hunter Biden Laptop have lost their security clearances.
  3. Laken Riley Act will be the first bill signed by Trump. It had bipartisan support and passed 64-35. The House has to pass the slightly changed version, which shouldnt be a problem as the Senate actually made the bill tougher on illegal immigrants.
  4. Wasnt sure what to expect in the 48 hours, but man has he come out swinging. Its pretty clear that he learned a lesson from 2016, and the 4 years off from 2020 gave him time to plan how to be far more effective. If he would have won in 2020 none of this would have been happening. His attack on institutional racism really kicked into high gear by targeting DEI and Affirmative Action policies within the government. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/trump-s-all-out-war-on-dei-kicks-into-high-gear/ar-AA1xEtvY He isnt just going at the policies, he is fundamentally destroying the very pillars that DEI and AA stand on. Its about damn time to. Its about time for Didnt Earn It to be related to the dustbin of history. He learned what he needs to do, and we are seeing him fully understand what he can do with Presidential powers.
  5. POTUS changing the constitution via Tweet sure is an interesting precedent to attempt to set right as Trump is coming into office. Its absolutely meaningless because its fairly settled law that this amendment isnt ratified, and would need to start from scratch if its supporters want to make it an actual amendment. But is sure is amusing watching the people who have been warning us about the collapse of democracy applaud this move.
  6. TikTok is dead Unanimous ruling at that. It never stood a chance.
  7. Jussssssssst a bit outside
  8. That sure is an interesting position to take after getting your asses handed to you for 15 months.
  9. 6 week pause 33 hostages will be returned to Israel, 23 of them alive. Israel will release prisoners as well, in phases, as part of the deal. The first phase lasts 16 days, and if they can get through Phase 1 then they will work on phase 2. Gonna be interesting to see if Hamas actually follows through with this
  10. Here we go again, maybe. Critical fire danger in the LA and San Diego regions.
  11. Maybe A few outlets are starting to report there is a deal. No word from Israel yet though, so who knows.
  12. Sounds like there may actually be a cease fire coming.
  13. This is probably the game that has the best potential to not suck all weekend Which means its probably going to really suck
  14. "Man, the CFB has been garbage football. Nothing but blowouts!": - Everyone NFL
  15. Bo Nix is clearly the guy. We have a franchise QB, and if we can actually get some weapons for him we will be scary.
  16. Eh, this is pretty much what I expected. Coming into the year I would have been happy with 8 wins. 10 wins and the playoffs? Dont really care about today, we had a great season. Today also showed what a lot of us fans have been saying. We desperately need to get some weapons on offense for Bo, and need better LBs and a RB who can, ya know, actually run. Things are looking up for us though. More hope now than Ive had in a verrrryyyyyy long time.
  17. Things are starting to go how I expected them. Which is what it is. Ill always have this replay to remember though.
  18. Start of one of the fires captured by someone who lives near by. No follow up video from the Ring, but one of the replys to this tweet says that the house is still standing.
  19. Pope Fetterman of Greenland!
  20. A cigarette butt is enough to take down tens of thousands of acres. People truly do not understand just how tinder dry places are, and how quickly a fire can explode if conditions are right. Have you heard of the Watch Duty app? Cannot recommend it enough for people who live in the West.
  21. I wonder how long until this gets appealed. It wont hold up when it goes through the appeal process, so its really just a matter of time before its totally wiped out.
  22. Reposting for obvious reasons
