Week 1 is literally random. Its because none of the starters ever get any practice before the season opens. Its really a shame that the NFL doesnt institute some sort of system where starters can play in a scrimmage like game before the season starts. A pre-season if you will.

If Im a packers fan im absolutely livid. Same with the players and coaches. All that time and effort for the season just for it to potentially end because of a horrible field. THe NFL never cared about player safety. Remember the whole "we arent sure what concussions do to the brain" thing? Weve known for ages what TBIs do, but the NFL ignores it.

What a total shit show that was The NFL, in its infinite wisdom, takes a premier match up for the year, puts it on a Friday night, makes it a streaming exclusive, and then moves it to an international stadium that clearly could not hold up to NFL play and where the fans look about as interested as people learning tax code. Oh, and one of the top young QBs may be done for the year because of a bad injury sustained, in fair part, due to the shitty field. Sure feels like the NFL is getting a bit to big for its britches, and its going to come crashing down in a rather spectacular way.

The more that comes out about this the more absolutely irate I am getting. That fucker was drunk, chose to drive drunk, then chose to swerve to the right of a car who was making room for them so that he could pass him. Thats just devastating. I started hearing rumors last night, but believed they were fake and just some idiot on twitter starting drama. Absolutely heartbroken for the family.
