When it comes to peripherals, Logitech is a brand I swear by. As far as a mouse is concerned, just about any mouse will do, it’s just a matter of what you are comfortable with.

All of my Macs never did that. They never slowed after 5+ years of near-constant audio/video rendering. I also always had faster drives. SSDs were GLORIOUS for my work. Cut my rendering time at minimum 60%. Faster video RAM helped later. Writing scores, scripts, and storyboards also because faster, too.

Mine came with it. My old one got one because I replaced the original drive with one. Then, the optical drive with another. All my Genius training paid off.

I’m not a fan of vertical mice. I use a Logitech M305 mouse. It works a good distance away from the receiver, and has incredible battery life. I have had the one I have right now for like 3 or so years now, and I am JUST NOW replacing the battery in it. It’s also silent.
