I liked Far Cry 5. It's a good game, but the AI needs a LOT of work. Strong wilderness and discovery, but needed direction.

Funny part about that was I was on mic the ENTIRE time. I usually gush over the scenery and junk. I played it without saying a word, which is unlike me. Still, definitely worth the buy.

The Japanese live action was better. Set in Japan. Better acted. Better cast. Better understanding of the anime. Better direction, art, CGI, and cinema.

Yes. It did. They set it in America. It was fucked from the first frame. Having Wilem Defoe voice Ryuk was inspired and refreshing, as he does it with gusto. He still couldn’t save it, though. It was made by people who obviously didn’t watch the anime.

You know.....you CAN curse here. They probably WILL fuck it up. There’s WAY too much universe building and nuance to this anime for them NOT to fuck it up. If they make it a mini-series, they’ll do better.

This. No, I didn’t intend to be condescending. If it came off that way, that wasn’t my intention. As I said above, I wasn’t intentionally being condescending, and was responding as a person giving advice to someone I consider another worthy human or friendly person. I even apologized for making a couple of bad quips. I wasn’t expecting a hostile answer, but got one. Responding the way I responded after (“I sorry, massa”, etc.), isn’t playing Race Card more so than how it felt to get what I got from him. Felt like a slave being punished for speaking about cotton to his master. All he had to say was “Hey, I got this, I know how my finances work, because my accountant handles them. I’m good.” or the like, and it would’ve gone over better. Instead, well, we know what happened. Just basic human interaction. Unsolicited or not, a simple “No, thanks” or “I’m good” always works with me. (Edit: I also hate the fucking term “adulting,” which is why the smiley was in the response.)
