NYC Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted for federal crimes
PhilosipherStoned replied to matrixman124's topic in Current Events
I mean....I'm not gonna lie commenting on the New York bar sounds above my pay grade or capability, but from what I've seen and been able to interpret from the likes of several scholarly law firms it's a big Ruckus for lack of better words... This isn't just New York of course everywhere shits kind of on it's ass... While they fight back from a 'can he even do this?' angle. I'd love someone more versed in law in here that's why I started bringing in Legal Eagle... which is actually able to practice law..... everywhere....idefk I've just been bracing for the shit storm that's likely to form EVERYWHERE. -

but wait that's actually horrible when he can just appoint new ones. What are you gonna do though besides challenge the status quo and make a scene going out? I mean I get why congressman Al Green can fire back, but as an AG that can easily be career suicide if you don't handle it right am I wrong? -
Sounds like the concept behind Xenoblade at least. So many other Sci-fi thrillers/games, but I guess what I'm remembering about Xenoblade in particular that relates to this is that the powers that be were supposedly in a space station moments before a cataclysmic event was suppose to destroy everything anyway, but before it could one was prompted to hit a magic reset button of sorts that caused a machine within or the whole station to basically rewrite all matter within it's reach into the new worlds you see in the Xenoblade chronicles games. Ended up feeling like a nice touch to the lore especially when you get out of the cloud realms and finally see the scorched "Earth" like stages at the end. Only they were so far advanced in the game fiction they didn't create a digital world to escape to...They had a machine that pretty much rewrote reality itself I guess?

Love this dudes speech, and his arguments against Trump. No secret I'm a big fan and I've plugged his content here before, but I'm not really even trying to plug him here with this. Politics isn't the main thing I watch him for and definitely not his claim to fame. I just love his stance on this The fact he kind of frames this video towards Trump supporters saying "Look you aren't gonna get what you want either. We're all gonna be fucked if you choose to keep being ignorant."

I mean not to put an end to anybody's doom scrolling but scientists have had the capability for a while... The first synthetic life form was a bacterium created in 2010 by scientists at the J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI). The bacterium, called JCVI-syn1.0, had a synthetic genome. https://www.jcvi.org/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3878377/#:~:text=In 2010%2C staff at the, scientists may well do so. One of the limiting factors if you ask me is that THEY are human. Hell you can even factor AI into the mix but it learns off OUR knowledge, and starts to get AI down syndrome if somebody doesn't mommy it. Interesting post just saying that we are still a Far Cry from Cyberpunk if that's what you're hoping for. I am still reading though can it survive outside a lab? I'm sure the science has to be interesting and groundbreaking but that article is sooo barebones...

Criminal-In-Chief. I like that.. Al Green is still being his good old self, and I love it. I mean it it's sad because to me he's been one of if not the only democratic congressmen with an actual backbone ever since Trump transitioned from poor taste reality show boss to actual politics.. -

That raises a lot of questions but I'm just gonna go with it. Oh wait lol I think I did the same thing Andre did. He's not trying to say he's 20 just been a member for 20 years... -
I remember Phillies at least seeming to be pretty real though I don't know if they had alts. I know Mikasa or how ever you spell that weeb name seemed pretty sim sometimes, but I never made a for sure connection to Phillies.. Only thing I even remember about Phillies is that he supposedly had a futa fixation, rampart drug problem, and was coming to you live from his moms basement... TBH though especially in the AS eras of this forum he was hardly alone in any of those descriptors. Whatever happened to Mikasa anyway like I said other than the anime thing cant really make any other connections between the two, and kind of doubt he was just alt seeing as he did the archives for so long lol. What if Phillies got a job or had a big awakening and now he's a cult leader or some shit? The world me never know...

So the CNN thing reminded me of bucket and gin guy,,,,, just in case it's one of them I want them to see this thumbnail. It couldn't be packard though could it? I mean I don't really care enough either way but the structure of that one 'sentence' that was posted above the cnn story made me think packard..
