any idea if VMware is better? I have an acquaintance that uses Virtualbox to run a lot of shit decently but then again he's an actual IT guru that knows all the deeper intricacies and hidden shortcuts involved with configuring anything.

@katt_goddess This thread's probably better suited for the pc help thread if you want to move it that'd be great. VM's are kind of in a whole other category than basic computer help shit that's why I wasn't sure if it would be better placed stand alone in FFA. Also If anyone is familiar here at all with working with VM's I still got a lot of work to do optimizing my host pc and whatever vm I'm using to run insync and provide better loading speeds for the vm.. I tried to open youtube, and play a video, and it was terrible all around. Defragmenting the host drive is one thing I've heard that helps.

This clean install of win 10 just has Microsoft edge installed for a browser lol. It's shit.

I'm not really sure I like the VirtualBox screen interface. Even when the vm desktop is full screened it just kind of plasters a box in the middle.. and the vm wont let me change the graphic settings to the full screen resolution my host computer is set to. I'm pretty much entirely new to virtual machines though so this is still neat.

I guess it was worth it for this inception like statement I can now make though. I just logged into this forum from a computer inside a computer that was already logged onto this forum.

I don't have an SSD. I'd like one though. This is first time I've set up a virtual machine though or dealt with all the useless cortana set up screens win 10 goes through.

I might legitimately need the rants folder after having to go through cortana though. I don't remember having to do all this initial set up with my host pc I guess because I upgraded from 7 and I had a local mom and pop shop guy boot this pc with a copy of his win 7 originally.

Maybe I'm just thinking of the pc help thread. Windows is only 60% ready for installation... This is why I havent made a vm already. I had to download the windows 10 OS ISO file that took forever and now I'm mounting it to the virtual machine in virtualbox. I might as well let this sit and go about my business not sure yet.

I want to make a linux vm as well because I've never used linux if there's anyone here that would know how to go about that. Maybe try to acquire an ISO? I know the disks are pretty cheap themselves.

I just realized i can set up a windows 10 vm with an ISO file and not have to buy a disc. So I think I'm gonna set one up real quick.
