  1. I wouldn't have expected Zom 100 on Toonami, but it is licensed by Viz.
  2. I don't know how or why about it, but I have my suspicions that this is bad timing here. DBZ Kai coming back to Toonami right as its creator dies? Not a good omen to me.
  3. If we have 3 or 4 slots to fill, here's what I think could happen. Scavengers Reign fills one of the slots. It's been four months since the season finale on Max. IGPX gets its remastered second season to air....after DBZ Kai. To them, it's older and less of a priority than that show is, so it would likely fill that 3 AM slot for a couple more months. Rick and Morty: The Anime temporarily gives Toonami a lineup bookended by subs. Do I expect these to happen? No, but MHA and Superman likely aren't coming until May, meaning there's still a small gap to fill anyway. I know it could be anything from their catalogs, but I'm hoping against hope that Urusei Yatsura remake comes to Toonami. Adding Lycoris Recoil just adds fuel to that fire.
  4. In Capitalist America, pigs chop you! But in all seriousness, I can't be mad at this because that's ALL Z***** knows how to to at WB.
  5. I have a few ideas for this year, some of them more likely than others: Sneak peeks of the 2024 premieres. Toonami airs a marathon. My personal choice? Attack on Titan Junior High. Checkered Past gets taken over by Screwy Squirrel. The nightly lineup of TLC replaces Adult Swim's regular programming. All of it.
  6. No, we'll get the guy from Yellowstone using Woody Woodpecker as a lawn dart.
  7. I'd argue the Space Ghost fans are having their cake and eating it too. He can be both a serious superhero AND a silly talk show host. But the only way I'll be watching the new season is by pirating it. No way I'm giving Z***** any money.
  8. I don't care who or what buys them. They'll just be the next scapegoat for whatever crap WB gets saddled with this year.
  9. If WB had listened to Richard Pryor about how he would have settled for a mere cameo, we'd still have Superman material in non-comics form. Instead, it's all Bat-time, all Bat-channel.
  10. At this rate, One Piece can be all three of the Big 3. But for my money, the new Big 3 of Shonen Jump is One Piece / Sakamoto Days / Undead Unluck.
  11. Now that the Hulu/Disney+ merger is closer to happening, I just thought I'd ask a specific question: Has any anime on Hulu jumped over to Disney+? If so, how much of the catalog has done so?
  12. While I doubt it would happen, I'd prefer getting Daima over Kai reruns. At least it would be something new on Toonami, which they need more often than not. As for your thread title, I can sum up their opinion in just two words: "Balls? Ack!"
  13. Okay, that's consoling. I would have preferred to air it right after the first half, but I'm not the guy running Toonami.
  14. And here I thought it would be a longer wait than this. God, at least wait until ALL of IGPX has finished before doing this! However, I will say something: The last time someone was this risk-averse to anime on Saturdays, we got the One Piece Rap.
  15. I have a few questions: 1: Are they going to rerun every episode? All 160+ episodes of it?! 2: Would IGPX's second season air at 3 AM in May? Or are we not getting a full HD treatment for that show? 3: Is this what replaces Shippuden come August?
  16. Perhaps I should have clarified that I wasn't specifically thinking of anchor shows for the modern day. I was also putting the past 23 years of the block into consideration when making this thread.
  17. I thought I'd diversify beyond the Toonami block a little and ask what you all think the anchor shows for Adult Swim are. Of course, we all know that Rick & Morty and Family Guy are on that list, so I'm wondering if there are any others on that level. With that said, give me your anchors!
  18. In other words, Z***** turned the AS Comedy premiere clock back to the 2000s. Is that what I'm hearing?
  19. I hope that Thundercats airs during the 4 PM hour before Toonami after being replaced by G-Force. Likewise, I'm glad that SWAT Kats gets a third season to tie up any loose ends. I wonder how many shows can qualify for an Afternoon Adventures timeslot. Could Captain Planet feasibly air at 4:30? Would the special week of Beast Wars be an Afternoon Adventures event? Classic Batman on weekdays, and The New Batman Adventures airing as its own timeslot on Saturday Nights. That is great. Also great is the rest of the Saturday Night block, with The Justice Friends, Road Rovers, and the new season of Jonny Quest. Equal parts of WB's library and Hanna-Barbera's studio at work. Oh, and the Sunday afternoon block is no slouch, with all the classics you could want. Putting the 80s Superman series from Ruby-Spears there is good promotion for Kids WB, Birdman hasn't been adapted into a Williams Street lawyer yet, and Dynomutt & Thundarr just needed to be there. After all this, there's the 10th Anniversary lineup kicking off with a recreation of the first lineup. If that isn't good enough, there's all the premieres starting at 6. The season premiere of Teen Titans, Dial H for Hero, a Toonami Reactor premiere, a series finale, three World Premieres, a Viz Media premiere, and a 10th Anniversary lookback followed by a movie at Midnight. However, I do have some thoughts on those: Either the fifth season of Teen Titans is pushed back to commemorate the birthday, or it's actually the sixth season. Does Dial H for Hero replace Ben 10 in this timeline? Perhaps the Series Finale is Samurai Jack's conclusion, getting an extra season from Genndy's director chair. I'm not sure what the Toonami Reactor television premiere is. Maybe the 2004 Black Jack anime? I don't know. If I may theorize the World Premieres, I think the DC one would be an overdue Wonder Woman cartoon, whereas the CN one would be Powerpuff Girls Z, and the Western one could be a return to form for Space Ghost. The timeslot for Viz's next hit stumps me on what it could be. As for the special, I think 11:30 might be too late in the night to air it. The movie, on the other hand, could be anything. All in all, great lineups!
  20. That's because his take on Toonami launched in September 1996 instead of March 1997.
  21. Being a series about school children playing soccer, you'd think Captain Tsubasa would have gotten an English dub by now.

  22. They must be REALLY passionate about Ninja Kamui to air it dubbed and subbed. ..... Twenty five dollars says they eat their words in the ratings board, and it somehow gets Fena-level reviews.
  23. On the subject of My Hero, a good chunk of the show was inspired by Star Wars, and the season proper would be a month behind the subbed version if it did come to the US then. However, if they have to wait a while before getting the Swordsmith Village Arc, I can see Supes on a summer Reign for a full hour. <----Joke
  24. I'm not sure if you're ready to hear this, but anime already airs only once a week in Japan, sometimes at midnight. This is nothing major.
