My family is full of old folk musicians, and I'm thirty so many of my closest musical influences, family wise, are starting to die. It's sad, but my niece wants to learn guitar, and my older brother also has been learning how to play. This is how we influence one another beyond what we believe we are capable of. I wish the best for you and your dad, who is probably fucking blown away by what you can do.

During my time in the hospital the test was mandatory. It tickled. I tried not to laugh because if I did have it, then I was one chuckle away from giving it to a doctor. ( The test was negative )

And those weren't better days But they still meant something to me When we was kids out in the streets Less than a year ago I traveled 100 miles to see Justin Townes Earle play in Seattle. More than halfway through my trip to see him, he canceled. I still spent the day with my cousin having a time eating good food and talking about music. I hope, more than anything, he's taking care of us in terms of having a good time. My heart goes out to Steve.

As a writer, even while writing a new idea, I'm constantly plagued by the fear that what I've written--or am writing--is the last idea I'll ever have. It's this idea that I'll lose the ability to be creative.

Same, and it goes both ways with people on Facebook. I only have a small handful of people I can identify on both the boards and Facebook. Usually it's just one or the other.
