  1. If we're talking about the antagonists, well chances are there weapons are like drone strikes: only as effective as their intel.
  2. Ain't nothing more relatable than advanced tech being surprisingly shitty. Ever purchase a newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and board an airplane?
  3. I think both are acceptable. I think I just have a certain view of child as being a little colder, or more distant. Kid feels endearing to me (though not everybody), and it likely gets my favor because of sound more than meaning.
  4. Is being annoying your way of practicing social distancing?
  5. Obviously if I couldn't spell soup every day with fridge magnets I'd be pretty upset too.
  6. Snickerdoodles
  7. Thanks for reading y'all. It's a bit sad, but it brought me a lot of happiness to write it, and certain parts (the relationship between Sarah and Joey, for instance, and his return much later). I intended for these parts to buoy the grief at least a little.
  8. It was accepted back in January, but their limited publishing schedule (I think it's one story a week) made the wait longer than many places. Anyway, I hope you like it. https://jellyfishreview.wordpress.com/2020/05/25/negative-space-by-ellie-gordon/
  9. Well then shit if they don't have to stay intact, I don't even want to guess how much I could put in there. If they have to stay intact: zero. Details you probably never need to know in the spoilers.
  10. Despite not sounding ideal, freezing them would an option. You'd just have to be quick about all of them because they'd thaw fast.
  11. Tsuritama, if you're up for something whimsical. Natsume's Book of Friends, while episodic, is well done and plot driven. Plenty of humor, plenty of heartbreak.
  12. 0/10 don't recommend callused feet.
  13. I love possums!
  14. They launder my money, which is close enough
  15. A steller's jay and two crows
  16. I put the Callous in Maria Callas
  17. That's part of the reason why it's invading my living room
  18. Unfortunately I allowed it to get bold. It's already run beneath the kitchen table for crumbs.
  19. ant wah-tur Lan-caster if it's Cali, Lanecuhster otherwise. Cuh-rib-be-uhn and Car-a-bein Our
  20. Cock rings go around the base and behind the testicles, and are adjustable to sizes (we got leather ones with button snaps), so they can be pretty large.
  21. When the doctor suggested surgery and a brace for all my youngest years, my parents scrambled to take me to massage therapy, deep tissue work, osteopathy, and soon my crooked spine unspooled a bit, I could breathe again, and move more in a body unclouded by pain. My mom would tell me to sing songs to her the whole forty-five minute drive to Middle Two Rock Road and forty- five minutes back from physical therapy. She’d say, even my voice sounded unfettered by my spine afterward. So I sang and sang, because I thought she liked it. I never asked her what she gave up to drive me, or how her day was before this chore. Today, at her age, I was driving myself home from yet another spine appointment, singing along to some maudlin but solid song on the radio, and I saw a mom take her raincoat off and give it to her young daughter when a storm took over the afternoon. My god, I thought, my whole life I’ve been under her raincoat thinking it was somehow a marvel that I never got wet. Ada Limon, The Raincoat
