If you add up all the time from each airing of the Mortal Kombat commercial, it evens out to an average movie length.

DST always throws me off so excuse me if I’m getting it wrong, but I believe that the blocks current timeslot causes it to end right before DST flips the clocks back. I guess they could do something with the time, but if the block is over it’s probably easier and cheaper to just toss an hour of their own content there and call it good. I’m thinking if they want some more mileage out of AoT, they stick it on Thanksgiving, then maybe if we are lucky, part 2 can get wedged in somewhere before the year ends. And while we are on the topic of DST, I’m super butthurt that bill to abolish it for good was never voted on. We could have been done with this time shift nonsense for good, but no, here we are again a few weeks away from setting clocks back again.

All of October is locked in, so it’s about time we kick around the final 2 months of the year 11/4 - Scavengers/Dr Stone/OPx2/Naruto/rerun 11/11 - Scavengers/Dr Stone/OPx2/Naruto/rerun 11/18 - Scavengers/Dr Stone/OPx2/Naruto/rerun 11/25 - marathon 12/2 - Scavengers/Dr Stone/OPx2/Naruto/rerun 12/9 - Scavengers/Dr Stone/OPx2/Naruto/rerun 12/16 - Scavengers/Dr Stone/OPx2/Naruto/rerun 12/23 - Scavengers marathon 12/30 - Grunge/Shoegaze marathon With this, Toonami ends the year with a pathetic resume of only two acquired shows for the entire year. And an open slot up front going into the new year, but Dr Stone can cover that. Only thing here I think might have a chance to be wrong is if they don’t get to start Dr Stone that soon.

No doubt this will be what clogs up the lead slot for the rest of the year. Probably won’t even have the decency to give us the premier.

I wouldn’t call our last shot at something new going to the second half of a season lucking out, but I suppose it’s lead material at least.

I’m pretty sure it’s over and not a single peep about Uzumaki. It’s not a delay if you never acknowledge it’s existence!

Would rather see it cancelled over being kept in zombie mode with more DBZ. Praying Disney or anyone with fatter pockets secures an exclusive deal with it so Demarco doesn’t waste time going after it.

ATHF does not work beyond 11 minutes. And “dude Bezos and/or Elon BAD” parodies are so played out at this point it never stood a chance from conception. A return to 11 minutes should help it get back on track.

Well then, Toonami is boned. Without a sequel to use as leverage, any Crunchyroll show has a zero percent chance of airing now. Would not surprise me if they start putting an end to sequel deals too.

Damn that’s like the 2nd or 3rd highest lead in of the whole year. I think the audience finally found an FLCL sequel they can like. Really shows how we need some fresh meat later on though, because very little of that FLCL bump carried over into the shonen block.

Usually I don’t try to give an actual explanation, I just do what Shake does when he is watching Vegetable Man with the Mooninites. “Yea, he is Vegetable Man”. “Yea, he is a rubber man”. Reminds me of my gram 25 years ago. She tried so hard to understand those Pokemans because I liked them so much but I don’t think she ever did quite figure it out. We’d always have a laugh when I was older about how I’d talk about Pokémon on and on and she didn’t understand most of what I’d be going on about.

AS was the first place I saw ads for Pooph, and the first 2-3 times I kinda just half watched it and I was certain it was an AS created gag ad. Like I see the dude spray the bottle straight into his mouth and immediately think to myself oh yea, this is just some AS bit. Then I saw it on another channel and realized it was an actual product.

My thoughts are it’s not a very good idea and full of unrealistic choices. There is no reason to give CN back time as Checkered Past is doing better than anyone ever hoped. CN is dead, a “tween Toonami block” is what Toonami is right now with nothing but OP and Naruto. Actual tweens stream, there is zero market for cable anime with the next generation. Didn’t even know what Camp Camp was so I looked it up to find out its Rooster Teeth slop. Why would AS have access to that? Why would anyone want them to? I’d rather watch an American Dad episode I hate over garbage from that talentless studio. Harley Quinn, a nice dream but again it’s not something they have, nor can get access to. DC has it locked down so tight they couldn’t even fix the episode error that singular time it aired on Toonami. Your Toonami is mess, needlessly extended just to be filled up with reruns. Yea, Bleach would be great, and I’m sure they have been trying to put together a deal on it since the dub released, but it obviously hasn’t happened, and the outlook for it dwindles every schedule that passes. And probably the biggest issue with your schedules, yes, you did significantly increase the diversity on the schedule, but also significantly reduced the ratings for the entire network. They don’t air a zillion episodes of American Dad each week for fun, they do it because it’s their main breadwinner. The suits don’t care if the schedule is good, they just want it to have ample viewership so Mortal Kombat will buy ad space every single break.

I’m usually first to call Demarco a liar, but in comparison to the other originals, Grunge actually did solid. HCC and Black Lotus in particular are the standout flops. And so far Shoegaze is holding up too.

I just found it funny that Demarco had to burrow down to some nobodies blog whose website format is from 2003 to find a positive review for Grunge.

But there will NOT be any more made. Thank god. Finally some good news coming from Demarco. Shoegaze (so far) has been passable, so if it can keep that up it’s the perfect way to end this abhorrent chapter of AS history.

Always rely on Demarco to shatter your expectations, usually for the worse. I did watch Akudama Drive in full, so I don’t know why it hasn’t been announced yet. Great show actually, if they announced it for a Toonami run in November I wouldn’t even be mad. The OP slaps and I’d get to see my man Hoodlum again.

Easy, I phone up Sentai and I accept ANYTHING they offer within the blocks price range. Would have done that 2-3 years ago. I don’t waste my time looking at top shelf shonen I’ll never be able to secure. This has been a consideration for me, as I believe at this point they have the rest Shippuden locked down. It’s just hard to envision what they do when that anchor is gone. I know there is a chance they don’t have ALL of Dressrosa, but surely they aren’t out of episodes this soon into the arc, right?

Huh, well I was kind of right with both FLCL getting a rerun, but I didn’t expect them split up like this. Pretty dirty for 10/21 since people still have to turn out for Shippuden if they are following that. And on that topic, shocking that they are burning 2 episodes of that instead of One Piece. Very uninspired Halloween this year though, HCC seemed like a lock. Uzumaki will either air next month, or Demarco couldn’t sell subs to the higher ups. So here’s how things look after we come back from Halloween 12 - empty 12:30 - One Piece 1 - One Piece 1:30 - Naruto 2 - Naruto 2:30 - empty It’s also possible that OP or Naruto does not return to the schedule with a double dose, so that’s 2, possibly 3 slots open. Last year at the same time, they used DST confusion as a cover to slip in a time cut, I wonder if that’s the plan again this year or if they finally are going to deliver something.

It’s a real show that airs on the ID network. Has to be a monumental blunder for this to have happened when American Dad should have been playing. Usually mistakes of this caliber are reserved for Toonami hours. I love how no matter what happens on AS, people will stick with it for 30+ minutes asking themselves “is this some kind of gag? The joke will hit any second now!” You really just never know.
