Don't you advocate for the side that has no qualms with corporate fascism? ๐ -

So I went grocery shopping and this old woman with a big fat ass walked by me. Let me tell you, she had some major rancid swamp ass going on. I laughed cause I was at least four feet away from her but I could smell it. ๐๐คฎ๐ญ -

What Are You Thinking About Right Now?

So the Chipotle CEO has taken over Starbucks. I think we're witnessing the end of an era. Chipotle has taken a nosedive in quality during the pandemic and never recovered. I expect the same thing to happen to Starbucks now. Enshittification of everything, indeed . . . although Starbucks coffee is nasty af. Serious, those Pike's Place beans are burnt and contain inferior robusta beans. -

I'm surprised to hear this, to be honest. I think you're into prog rock too, and that borrows heavily from classical music. -

I was listening to this Diary of a CEO podcast featuring Simon Cowell. The host mentioned the fact that Simon greeted every single person individually in the room, and this was rare from his guests. Some of the just look down at their phones until the interview starts. My respect for Simon went up. His story of how he made it was fascinating too. Funny how these Biritsh guys with asshole personas are actually pleasant people, like also Gordon Ramsey. -
That is false. His views did mellow a bit, but he was still a racist piece of shit by today's standards at the time of his death.

It is such a shame JK Rowling will ultimately get the Lovecraft treatment. She was an important part of many millennials' upbringing. Stupid bitch.

chicken biryani from my Indian friend. I tried making it myself a few days ago again, but it doesn't taste anywhere near as good. Why do I even bother? ๐ญ

I thought I was a loser for getting 11k points on duolingo in a week, but then I see someone on this week's league get 13k in one day. ๐ -
I'd say Tokyo Story. It shows Japan emerging about a decade after WW2, but the more important aspect is the message of familial ties that are universally understood. It's a film that gets sadder as you get older.

the container of peanut butter cracked in the mail

Gwyneth Paltrow said you need to order cold pressed peanut butter from Napa Valley or else you'll get endometriosis, even if you're a guy. Unfortunately, that tends not to be available outside of California. -
From wikipedia: According to director Imaishi, much of the plot is based on his observation that the Japanese manner of pronouncing "fascism" (ใใกใใทใง, fassho) is nearly the same as the word "fashion" (ใใกใใทใงใณ, fasshon), his observation that the pronunciation of the Japanese words "school uniform" (ๅถๆ, seifuku) and "conquest" (ๅพๆ, seifuku) are identical, and that the titular kiru may mean "kill" (ใญใซ), "to cut" (ๅใ), or "to wear" (็ใ).

Spirit animal? Are you not a white man part of the dominant culture that has Judeo-Christian values? This blatant display of cultural appropriation is completely despicable. Check your privilege, shitlord. (I'm going to go kill myself now.)

Brendon Urie really didn't deserve this: "Vance is confusing because his rhetoric wants us to panic about immigrants, but his eyeliner wants us to panic at the disco."
