I think you're talking about Rosemary Kennedy getting lobotomized. I think of all the Kennedy lives, hers is the most tragic. The sad thing is that since the horrible practice of lobotomy is relatively modern, the Bible does not condemn it. Lobotomy, if I recall correctly, was performed the most after WW2, when Eugenics became very unpopular from the Nazis. Most people who were lobotomized didn't have children though, for various reasons. I guess in a way, it could be considered Eugenics, even though rehabilitation into society was the main intention. Anyway, Eugenics is more about sterilization, and of course that has existed since the days the Bible was written. As for how the denominations of Christianity differ in their views of sterilization, I have no idea. You seem to know more about it than me.
