"What did you say?" "Nothing! He’s just… being Inuyasha. You know, typical grumpy half-demon stuff." Godzilla stood up abruptly, knocking over his chair. "That boy needs to learn some respect! I will not have my daughter treated like that!" Kagome groaned, covering her face with her hands. "Please, no. Last time you got involved, half the forest was vaporized." Inside Out 2 was good, but the first film was much better.

ChatGPT is quite useful. I did some exercises to test my language skills with it and I have an A1 level of Spanish and a B1 level of Japanese. If I dedicated a year to Spanish, I would probably surpass my level of Japanese. Sigh, I put so much effort into Japanese too. It really is a tough language for a native English speaker.

So . . . I have decided on Spanish. I helped a Hispanic woman with limited English skills with my limited Spanish skills the other day. I love French, but I know I'll have way more opportunities to actually use Spanish. Plus, I'm confident that I'll have a better Spanish accent, as I can trill my Rs and I know how to keep my vowels pure thanks to my experience with Japanese. I've heard that it's significantly harder to hear natives speak French than Spanish too, as the French blend their syllables together with their liaison. Sorry disco, if you wanna switch to Spanish. If not, we can still do the duolingo challenges if you're up for it, as that doesn't require the same languages being learned. Thanks, everyone who made topical suggestions.

I believe you. I think the only thing I know about Ukraine is Chernobyl, but I know quite a bit about Russia. Ukrainian on Duolingo exploded in popularity after the war started . . . and so did Russian, to a smaller extent.

The only Slavic language I'm remotely interested in learning is Russian. 💀
