Hey, a bunch of people just voted for tariffs without realizing what they were. Some people just need everything to be spelled out for them.

I guess westpark was right, BATHLs are destroying America, liberal in the neoliberal sense. Edit: On second thought, I don't even have to correct the liberal part. These liberals allowed worker rights to get eroded, which is the main problem. All these tech companies are profoundly anti union. -

Pittsburgh definitely does deserve the nickname "Paris of Appalachia" More people voted for Harris than anywhere else in the region (it's Allegheny county in this infographic). -

The nice thing about the Japanese language is that one is taught etymology, whether one is interested or not in the subject, due to the nature of kanji. I am bringing this up because my mother said every Japanese person knows what a tariff is, and she is not the type to talk about global economic policy. Anyway, the kanji compound for tariff gives away the meaning 関税 "barrier tax" kanzei

On election night, I had chicken biryani, in hopes of America electing a Desi woman, Kamala. My Indian friend said her part of India, Tamil Nadu, is more known for sambar rice. I've had sambar rice before, but I just wasn't in the mood for it. The next day, my Indian friend jokingly said Kamala lost because I didn't eat the sambar rice. 😂😭 You know, typing this made me realize something that I appreciate so much about myself: I am a worldly person. I love the world. -

The union leaders still tend to be Democrar, but the people protected by the union tend to be Republican. Unions still align more with Democrat values. Go try to push your drivel elsewhere where dumbasses will actually believe you. -

Union participation has gone done from over 35 percent of Americans in the 1970s to less than 10 percent today. We are in a gilded age, with rich people making more money than ever before. Social issues and where they stand on the spectrum change over time. Who exactly was it that started making trans using the "wron bathroom' back in 2014 conveniently around the time Caitlynn Jenner came out? It's ok, plenty of dumb people will still fall for your shit. -

Utah, a state full of white Mormons, is the only state that shifted slightly to the left. Every other state shifted more to the right. Oh, the irony. -

I'd say 40ish percent do. There is a sizeable amount of Americans who feel nothing will change for them regardless of who is president, and that proportion probably has increased after this election. -

Again, celebrities need to permanently shut the fuck up with their shit takes. White people moved more to Harris while non white people moved more to Trump. -

Dumb populism is exactly how Trump got elected. It works. Many of these celebrities talk about social issues, but almost all of them can never relate to working class struggles. Promoting a personal rags to riches story just makes a stronger case for Republicans, which is where these celebrities belong anyway. Many of them hate to pay their taxes. -
