Well, it made me laugh at how poorly thought through the show seemed to be. Just Because 1 - 3

Gate 13 - 24 ::facepalm::

Well, yeah that's another issue, athough I look at it a little differently. I've gotten used to seeing protagonists made to seem way too overly perfect and infallible... the JSDF in this case. It bothers me far more though that they're portrayed as such heroes despite the fact that they seem to do the overwhelming amount of killing in the show, a lot of which I would argue was logically very avoidable. Logic seems to be a foreign concept in this show however.

Gate 1 - 12 Wow, this show is so patently stupid. I admit it didn't really dawn on me just how much so though until just now, probably because I've been watching the episodes in such quick succession and didn't really take the time to stop and think that much about it before. But I can't believe how matter-of-factly and without question they just accept the existence of certain things, say like the gate itself. It's become kind of like a train wreck I can't look away from now though cuz I'm curious as to whether they're ever going to address some of this stuff, even if I'm pretty confident they won't.

Made in Abyss 5 - 13 Damn, I should have stopped at episode 4. That was great, but seeing that much just makes having to wait for season 2 for answers that much more frustrating. Shirobako 1 & 2 Watching this feels like how I imagine someone who loves sausage feels going to a sausage making factory, so that's enough of this one for me.

Made in Abyss 1 - 4 Can see the Ghibli pedigree in the background art work for this show all right.

Tari Tari 1 - 3 Land of the Lustrous 1 - 4 Land of the Lustrous certainly has some amazing looking animation, unlike pretty much anything I've ever seen before. I'd love to watch the rest of it now, but I've seen enough to know I'll definitely get the blu-ray for it later on.

Love, Election & Chocolate 4 - 12 & OVA Sweet. I wasn't expecting to find political intrgue in my chocolate. I was afraid I was going to get caramel. I hate caramel. No seriously, I really do hate caramel. But that was unexpectedly really really good, or as Matsushita would say... average. LOL Maybe even... gasp!... better than average! Woah, I don't know if I'd seriously go that far, but for a moment I was thinking this might turn into another generic harem school comedy. Glad I was mistaken.

Love, Election & Chocolate 1 - 3 So far this one has been really enjoyable.

I knew there was a more recent version of it, but doubt that I'll have a chance to see that anytime soon since it looks like it's unlicensed. I'm just watching various stuff on HIDIVE right now. Stuff that I've mostly overlooked in the past. Kissdum R Engage Planet 1 Okay, what the hell was that? Besides a complete and total mess I mean. That's gotta be one of the most nonsensical first episodes of any anime I've ever seen. Usually you take a little time to introduce a cast or story before having all hell break loose. That's a freakin huge red flag there to me, so enough of that.

Yozakura Quartet 1 - 12 Another disappointment.

From the New World 1 - 5 Meh. Started out interesting, but I'm already getting bored so on to something else.

Wish Upon the Pleiades 7 - 12 That was okay. Still don't get why the one girl was always wearing the witch's costume, or how come the little alien guy needed to speak through her. Guess is was all just to make her more moe.

Trinity Seven 1 & 2 (Ugh. Even the title of this show is ridiculous.) Wish Upon the Pleiades 1 - 6

Medaka Box 1 - 8 Not so impressed with this one. Wanted to give it a chance, but just too ridiculous for me.

When They Cry Kai 6 - 24 & Rei 1 - 5 Guess I gotta say it. I'm impressed. Thought for sure this would be one of those shows that left a million unanswered questions in the end, but pretty much the opposite in fact. I really really enjoyed it. Great show.

When They Cry 19 - 26 & Kai 1 - 5 Hmm, pieces definitely falling into place. Really curious now as to what the lynchpin will be.

When They Cry 2 - 18 Wow, this show's seriously f'ed up man. Okay, so far I count like three separate timelines... I think. I'm not even sure of that though, let alone much else. So much stuff from each one seems to correlate, yet simulatenously there's clear divergences of events. All I can say is, I'll be really impressed if this somehow all makes sense in the end.

Finally got a bunch of time to kill and a month's subscription to HIDIVE, so anime sampling/binging time. Armed Girl's Machiavellism 1 Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat 1 (I actually kind of like this one, so I'll watch more of this one at some point probably.) Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto 1 Himouto Umaru-chan 1 Flying Witch 1 & 2 (Love this and purchased the box set, so I'll watch the rest of it later on.) Tonari no Seki-Kun 1 - 9 (Also, really enjoyed this one. Think I'll save the rest for later.) Onigiri 1 - 12 (Stupid and silly, but episodes are only three minutes long, so figured I'd watch 'em all.) Majestic Prince 1 (Huh, I was expecting this to be more of a serious sci-fi show, but it looks like more of a brainless Fafner in space.) Rail Wars 1 When They Cry 1 (I'm already creeped out, and there's still like 50 episodes to go? Whatever. This one I'm binging till the end.)

Yeah, Sentai made a deal with Right Stuf a few years ago to have them warehouse their stuff and handle fulfillment for their online store. I wish Funimation would do the same; their shop's customer service is terrible. Heh heh, you want funny. I actually got a package from Right Stuf over the summer, when I had no order placed with them, and I was afraid to open it cuz I thought it might be a bomb or something. I did happen to know at the time that they shipped stuff for the Sentai store, but I had no order with them either. I called Right Stuf's customer service and they had no clue about it, but convinced me to go ahead and open it. Turns out it was an item I ordered from the Sentai shop from the previous year's holiday sale that went out of print and got canceled on me. Apparently they got a copy and sent it to me by accident... without charging me for it! Ha ha. I did the right thing anyway and sent it back to them. I bought it from somewhere else already, so I had no reason to want to keep it. So much for New Year's resolutions anyway. I streamed the first episodes for some shows on HIDIVE with the free month's subscription I got for the big Sentai order I made, and decided to grab a few more things before the sale ends tonight. New on order: Bodacious Space Pirates movie, Flying Witch premium edition, Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior, Love Chunibyo and Other Delusions Rikka Version, Sabagebu, and Stella Women's Academy

Last day for the Right Stuf sale, and they once again traditionally brought back all of their daily mega deals and also added their Mega Mega deal. LOL Only $2, 069.99! Believe it or not, I think they said somebody last year actually purchased it. Anyway, I'm not that crazy, but I am crazy enough that I sacrificed my better judgement and made one hopefully final order for the year for some limited edition sets: Attack on Titan season 2, Grimgar, MHA season 2 part2, Myriad Colors Phantom World, and No Game No Life Zero. Hopefully, I don't spend any more money on anime again till next holiday season. Guess I'll make that my New Year's resolution that I have almost no hope of keeping.

Yeah, looks like that demon from Constantine's past has something to do with whatever Nate's dad is up to with the magical creatures at the bureau. That reminds me, I don't think they showed what happened to Mona after the timeline got fixed. Really hope she's gonna be alright. Things didn't look so good for her when we last saw her.

Aquaman 9/10 Total visual spectacle. Some of costumes were a bit over the top I thought, but it is a super hero movie, so it's to be expected. Solid, fun origin story in any case, so another much needed win for DC I'd say.
