Saw the preview for this when I went to the movie theater the other day. I was thinking it was gonna be live-action honestly because all I saw was the title before. Not really disappointed at all though, cuz it still looks like it's gonna be really good. Seeing that Peter Jackson has been involved with it as an executive producer and that it's being directed by Kamiyama who did stuff like Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. also instills me with a lot of confidence it's gonna have a solid story and be well worth checking out.

The Watchers 7/10 Trap 3/10 (Still haven't forgiven Shyamalan for what he did with Avatar, and I probably never will. This one I thought was pretty decent up until the end when it just got ruined for me.) Afraid 5/10 (Movie is supposed to be frightening, but in the end I was like, "would it really be so bad?" Which is just a really sad commentary on the world we currently live in I think.) Red One 8/10 (Never a better time for some good ol' holiday fun.)

This whole situation reminds me of a movie I once saw called Idiocracy that I honestly thought was one of the craziest movies I'd ever seen. Now I'm not so sure and am sad to say it could not be so ludicrously farfetched after all.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but corruption doesn't necessarily equal dictatorship. There's been corruption in our government for a long time, as well as many others around the world, without it ever going anywhere near the point of a full-blown dictatorship.

There's gonna be some resistance to him getting the things he wants, but we've seen in the past that he doesn't have a problem stepping back when there's a public outcry and then try to get what he wants later on again and again until either people's resistance has been broken down or he can just simply find a way around it. He's ignorant about how government is supposed to work, but he's primarily just looking to tear things down and purge anyone not loyal to him, so unfortunately given enough time he will eventually get his way on a lot things. Just a matter of how many roadblocks can be thrown up to slow him down to try and run out the clock before the midterms when maybe, just maybe, the dems can get back the house or senate and act as an actual check on him. That's pretty wishful thinking I believe at this point though.

I mean, he didn't exactly say that, but it's pretty disappointing that's all he's got to say about what's going on when it comes to politics right now. I get that he's trying to be apolitical in advance of the big movie he's in coming out, but saying something like that doesn't come off as apolitical really; it just comes off as gutless honestly because there really is no equating the way the left and the right operate anymore at all.

I'm surprised he got so serious and stood up so quick to fight with her. I mean, after finally reaching Luffy, I expected he was gonna fanboy some more a little first, but I guess with an enemy being there he didn't really have the opportunity.

Night Swim 7/10 Borderlands 6/10 (Still surprised this bombed so hard. I really liked the little robot, Claptrap. He was funny. Without him it probably would have been pretty meh. Not a bad movie though. Never played the game mind you, so I had no expectations to dash.)
