My and my mom are trying to sell a kayak for $1,200. It's got two seats, motorized, has a fish finder, life vests and some other stuff. Have it listed on LetGo but no nibble so far even thought ad states that price is negotiable. I doubt anyone here wants to buy a kayak we're really trying to get rid of the thing seeing as we'ere never gonna use it. If you're curious I can link you to the ad page.

In the context of rape, I think it's a little different. Someone who has been raped would more than likely be uncomfortable because of it. But the majority of that has to do with the recent memory and being able to create immediate connections. In the case of the N-word, though, I don't feel like there's a whole lot of immediacy involved with it. It's a derogatory word, but I don't believe it is imbued with the hatred and malice today that it was 50, 100, and so on years ago. Sure a racist person might invest personal hatred into it if he doesn't like a black person, he might yell "Get out of here ******!" But I feel like it doesn't carry the same weight as it once used to. It's not like a person could yell something like that these days and get and crowd of people around him to join in and amass enough support to force a black person to fear for their life. Quite the opposite, if someone blurted out something like that today the majority of people within earshot would chastise that person for living in the past and clinging to a long forgotten, less progressive point in time. I will say this, though. Ultimately, it is up to the black community at large to "own" the word and disempower it themselves. Now we could go off on another tangent as to why they don't make more concerted efforts in moving towards that direction... but that will just open up a whole new can of worms.

I hate to be that guy (not really), but a word only has as much power as you put into it. I really believe that this is a non issue. People get insulted all the time by a multitude of words. Yet none of them carry the stigma of the word "n*gg*r." It's just a word. Also don't construe this a racist post, or me as being a racist apologist. I'm simply stating that the weight of this one particular word is completely overblown.

I'm gonna be pretty busy today. Maybe my tastes have changed because they don't seem to have the spicy, aromatic taste and smell I remember them for. I know clove smokes had to be repackaged as "cigar"so they had to change the paper, so maybe that has something to do with it. Eh next time I'll try the Bali Hais, see if those turn out to be the same/better/wose.

You talking about the actual movie with him or The Mummy Returns? I liked Mummy 1 & 2, also thought Scorpion King was pretty good too. Mummy 3 was a shitshow and this new Mummy movie looks like balls and is getting panned by critics. Even Rotten Tomatoes says that only 56% or so of general movie going audiences​ gave favorable reviews. So looks like it's a stinker.

There's a lot of fake going round but the people I deal with are older and actually have thier rx bottles.
