  1. I guess I gotta chime in huh..... Yes, all life is important; even if someone uses that life to be a selfish, awful, miscreant dullard with an alligator's ass for a face.
  2. Shut up Blue Light Special. Leave the guy alone, it is bad enough he is stuck with you.
  3. I know. We got FLCL S2 and S3 instead....
  4. GitS:SAC S3? 🤔
  5. Sucks that Macross is so damn hard to find. The series isn't that bad really.
  6. Ahhh fuck it. Just put Chris Hansen here....
  7. If the benefits are that important. What about mobility, can you move upward at your current position easier than at the other position? If you can't move upward in the next two years at your current employer but could at the other, then take the short-term hit for the long term gain. Or not. You gotta pay the mortgage after all.
  8. If the doctors are still in network just put away a little more for planned appointments. You can always do some freelance work as well, as long as it isn't in violation of non-competition policies.
  9. How much do you really use your insurance? If it is "just when I'm really sick" then it isn't a big deal, if it is "I'll die without my pills" then it might be worth looking into coverage and costs.
  10. Premiums, co-pays or both on the insurance? 401k is a sticking point, but if you can adjust your budget to compensate it isn't necessarily bad. (just pray Trump is re-elected or you're fucked) you shouldn't need legal benefits. If the new job is a shorter commute and better environment it might be worth the switch, particularly if it adds to your scope of work skills. Seems like a your call kind of thing, but I wouldn't go backwards in job title or responsibilities, you need to be adding to that now.
  11. Part time corner store is good only if you need benefits, but I wouldn't. City job might not be bad, most places might say 20 hr but still get you credit towards pension and insurance, and often FT goes to current employees easier than new hires.
  12. You snitch. You lower morale. Your appearance is slovenly. You give legal advice without being admitted to the bar. You give financial advice without the required licenses.
  13. Don't sell yourself short. It is baby steps, even if you don't swear one time, it is a start.
  14. Possibly, but if you dial it back slowly, people will gradually get used to you not swearing, and you will find yourself not considering swearing. It is a matter of changing habits really.
  15. I rarely swear anymore, I've actually made it a point to not swear in public. While it helps me out in polite company, it also serves a secondary purpose; when I really want to make a point about something, I'll slip in a "damn". Everyone stops and suddenly pays attention, wondering what has so bothered me that I actually swore.
