The first trilogy set a story which served to inspire hope, wonder and the value of believing in the best of what people can be. It was aspirational. The prequel trilogy was always about darkness falling, and yes it got pretty overtly political towards the end, but to a certain extent it needed that to tell the story of how good people can be deceived by bad people. The sequel trilogy has no story. Episode 7 was a scene by scene re-shoot of episode 4, basically JJ Abrams getting to live out his nerd fantasy. Episode 8, from reviews I read and from talking to people who have seen it, seems confusing and just awful; like a 300 million dollar Packard thread. Characters that show up, virtue signal and an hero, people behaving contrary to their character or just plain having no character at all. In places where a story would be useful, instead we got some kind of virtue signal trash. I suspect episode 9 is going to be more of the same.

Possibly. Of course I am more curious as to who pulled this thread out of the same dumpster he found that hibachi in and put it in Food....

Damn it, leave it to a bungling bin butler to ruin my predictive powers. I had always thought it was going to be the shoddy electric that caused the apartment fire, not a cheap knock-off of a grill used inside on a formica breakfast table.

SW ep 9 is gonna suck so hard. I didn't see any of the sequels in theaters, I refuse to pay the twenty bucks for something I know is just a giant virtue signalling trash fire. The only thing left that Disney SW is doing that might be good is the final season of Clone Wars and even then I suspect that will somehow suck. Lucas should have never sold out, the fans hate the new Disney SW, it is an object lesson in "get woke go broke".

Well, given the sparse confirmed details on the show, I would suspect it is going to be an Oct. 2020 month long show. It makes the most sense, so I would expect GENlock S2 and possibly some other pick-ups (Shield Hero?) to run spring/summer of 2020. I don't think we are going to get anything really big for the rest of this year, it seems like most of the budget got spent on the big shounen pick-ups. We might see Blade Runner in January, that was announced a while back and has since gone dark, but as an original series I would guess they would want to try and maximize its return on investment. Of course, it could be that we are all just witness to DeMarco's Weeb fantasies and none of our speculation based on sound business practices factor in at all.

You shouldn't feel bad at all. You were hired to do a job. That job entails keeping the doors open. A part of that is making sure that the rest of the staff follow protocols, particularly protocols that keep local health dept. inspectors from shutting down your business. This front end manager had no clue and no sense of responsibility. She was a liability and a detriment to morale. You did the right thing by getting rid of her. You don't leave during lunch rush, sheesh. I used to work in a kitchen, break was always around 3:00 on a double shift, sometimes 3:30 or even 4:00 if we were busy or it was a Saturday or football Sunday. I deal with it all the time, it is a millennial/Gen Z thing. Bunch of sawft kids, they get told when they are contracted what the expectations are, they are given a written copy and they sign a written copy. I'm nice, I understand things happen and I will usually cover and help if something comes up, provided they are responsible and tell me. If they lie, if they just flake out they are gone. If they violate the contract they are gone. I feel bad for having to do it, but I know I have to do it, so I do it. I try to keep an eye on things, I try to train and encourage, I help them reach goals and generally be successful. If they try I try for them, if they are lazy they are gone.
