I can confirm that, I watched both the 11 and 11:30 showings.

I was not a huge fan of Beware the Batman. Or a fan at all, for that matter. I like that Toonami wants to air western animation, and normally, a Batman show that has episodes unaired in the US would be awesome for Toonami. But... Beware was just terrible.

The Toonami crew focuses mostly on the television block, and completely neglects the stream. Before they make any topicals for the stream, they would need to manage it a bit better and make sure that it's taken care of.

In addition to what Sketch said, I'd also like to point out that there was a LOT more to the Toonami fiasco in the second half of 2014 than just AoT reruns at the top slot. I can think of a few off the top of my head: -Loss of multiple show rights, due to both sudden loss of rights and poor communication between [as] and the Toonami crew, which led to... -Multiple schedule changes in a short amount of time, most to accommodate departing shows and/or give shows a marathon, which destabilized the block and led to... -Viewer confusion, due to the sudden and at times unpromoted schedule changes, which led to... -Ratings loss, most famously seen in two areas: Hellsing Ultimate, following the Beware the Batman marathon, and Month of Movies 2014, which, despite expectations of lower ratings during the month, was still low. So yeah, there was a lot that went on that year, so implying that it was all AoT's fault is wrong.

The ratings would have taken a hit regardless because of the Final Four, so I doubt that there would have been much of a difference between this and if they aired Toonami in full. We'll see after next week whether or not Toonami's ratings suffered because of April Fools.

College sports are just more fun to watch IMO. You don't have to deal player egos as much as you do in professional leagues like the NFL.

The fact that the rest of the night didn't even crack a million makes the ratings seem a bit more palatable, but it is still kinda disappointing to look at. Kudos to DBZ TFC and JoJo for making Top Cable Telecasts, though. With Samurai Jack and DB Super back next week, hopefully ratings will be a bit better.

I could see perhaps Hellsing airing again if Toonami needed to fill slots, but I doubt Gurren Lagann will ever be back again.

I kinda feel the same way. One of my best friends has been hyping up Battle Tendency for literally two years now, saying it's one of the craziest things I'll ever watch. While I do like it and it definitely is crazy, I actually found that I enjoyed Phantom Blood more.

I don't really have a doubt in my mind that Toonami can hold on to 11:30 more or less permanently now, so I don't think it will be lost when/if Adult Swim moves to 9:00 for the fall. 11:00, on the other hand, will almost certainly go when Adult Swim does it, if it isn't already gone by that point. I guess perhaps AoT can manage to keep the slot, but even that's uncertain.

Yeah, I gotta agree. I don't see Toonami keeping 11:00 after Samurai Jack finishes it's run, unless they keep it by the grace of Adult Swim. If Toonami is to keep the same length, I think it's more likely that the whole of the block moves back to 11:30 and ends at 4:00.
