  1. Toonami keeping 11:00 isn't going to happen, at least not with the state the block is in right now. They might give Toonami another slot on the back end in order to keep the block the same length, but once Jack ends, I have no doubt that the next Toonami will begin at 11:30. Something needs to be done with Dragon Ball Super. We either need to get a premiere at 11:30 or we need to move the rerun to later on Toonami. Jack to Super just isn't clicking very well, and the rest of the block is suffering for it. Also #FuckToei
  2. Bingo. It's unreasonable to assume Toonami is at fault for low ratings if their viewership is down by the same amount as the rest of the network. That just reflects less people watching TV in general. If the viewership is lower for Toonami than the network as a whole, however, that indicates that less people are watching Toonami that can be explained but just a general viewership decrease. Or at least that's how I understand it. I'm admittedly not a ratings expert, but this seems to make sense.
  3. If ratings are down across the board then as long as Toonami ratings aren't down more than the average drop, I think it will be fine. Or at least that's the way I see it. It doesn't appear that Family Guy can be counted on to bring viewers to Adult Swim anymore, or at least in the numbers that it used to. Kind of the end of an era, if you really think about it.
  4. Far be it from me to enter this argument but isn't this just you bashing here too?
  5. Well it's obvious: incest is wincest
  6. I'd agree with Blatch in the case of a Friday/Saturday split. I think Toonami is at the point where they could pull it. Plus, it would put action back on a Weekday (even if it is Friday), which is a big plus in my book.
  7. If you're cynical, I guess. But I prefer to leave all my cynicism for my life.
  8. I'm calling it romance. If this is to be the Samurai Jack grand finale season then what better way to go out by defeating Aku, becoming the new emperor, and getting the girl?
  9. I don't acknowledge anything Tenchi-OVA related unless it was part of the first two. I'm even a bit iffy on the second OVA, though I still find it enjoyable.
  10. Oh God, DB Super just bled out this week, didn't it? Hopefully it does better next week. #FuckToei
  11. Leave it to the Toonami stream to make everything more fucking complicated than it needs to be.
  12. I thought it was odd when I looked last night and didn't see The Big O airing... Well I can't say it's a bad decision. If they're not going to take care of the stream, it's best that it just be a rerun of a Toonami four weeks ago. At least at that point people could try to catch up.
  13. I'll refrain from making jokes about late-term abortion, but I will say that if there was ever a case for it, this would be it. It seems like he has the same surface level understanding of Samurai Jack that the PTC has for television. That is to say, none at all.
  14. The Tumblr was dead once they stopped answering any questions on it. I don't think I've actually been on the Tumblr in quite a long time.
  15. Because dedicated Gundam slot? Though in all honesty who knows how long they can keep that up? I'd be willing to bet that they get IBO Season 2 then go back to having no Gundam on the block. Well, unless they decided to get Wing or G or something. Something nostalgic.
  16. Oh wow, Big O Season 1. When was the last time that aired on TV... [checks] Well, if we don't count the first episode airing on April Fools 2012, the last time The Big O aired a Season 1 episode was on February 2, 2008. "Bring Back My Ghost." The show wouldn't return for nine months, after which it began with Season 2. I wonder if this is a possible indication of a return of The Big O to the block in the future.
  17. Oh God, that's fucking painful. And I don't get it, either. I really didn't find it all that bad. Although I do have to wonder if this says more about Japan or more about America.
  18. The fuck? Stuff like this almost never gets cancelled. And even if the anime bombed, I can see them not doing another anime series, but the MANGA being cancelled from it as well? Jesus, the anime must have bombed HARD.
  19. The man had a great voice. RIP
  20. Oh, well I need to watch this now. The Stepford Wives remake, I mean. Not Beauty and the Beast. Not really a fan of the Disney live action remake stuff.
  21. This amuses me far more than it should.
  22. Invites? There were invites for here? Hell, I didn't know that. The only reason I know why this place exists is because someone linked to it in a Reddit thread.
  23. I've kind of been wondering about this for a bunch of people. Do they just not know that these forums exist, or do they know and just not care?
  24. I wouldn't worry too much about AoT. People have been anticipating it for a while now, so that, along with it being a dub premiere, should help it in the ratings.
