Oh, you actually made this more awkward than I imagined. When the other person is moving away, it's harder to apologize without making it weirder. So you know proper dog etiquette, but you gotta get a better reaction when seeing someone without limbs while in an embarassing situation with them. Oh and I know this was probably a service animal which was why I said there was only a small chance of petting it. I keep my distance and only pet the dog if the owner offers first.

That mass email shit happened three times, and the one that just saddened everyone was from a big company that should have known better than to do that shit. How many people looked in their inbox to see an email from that big company only to discover it wasn't even for a job in their skillset? All of them know that company couldn't bother to check out any of their portfolios. They just saw a hashtag with black in it, found the list of their emails and clicked send without any thought. And for the love of God, companies can hire black people for more shit than just 'diversity specials'.

Any job that needs networking to get a leg up in is rife with this because these are the joys of living in a patriarchal society. Too many men do not undertsand that most women just want to work in peace without being pestered. Announcing that projects are made entirely up of women isn't for you. It's mostly for other women. I know it's shocking to have this teeny tiny thing not specifically marketed to you, but you'll live. Meanwhile, people like me have to always keep track of which companies let behavior like this slide and hope I can hear early rumors in time. I haven't been burned by rumors once. It takes guts to leak out bad behavior and since there are no great benefits to this, people are usually not full of shit or exaggerating about their experiences. They tend to understate what's been happening, and then full-blown accusations come out because that behavior has gone on for an extended period of time and more people have been affected.

I'm confused. How did your brain equate the two? A sexual predator and being involved in an affair are two completely different things. So what if the dude had cancer? A cheater is a cheater and deserves most of the blame in those situations.
