  1. Seriously, no one bothered to make a JoJo thread?? How in the hell did I miss that!? Oh, and his name is "Bugeaten!"
  2. Finishing off the year with the 91st episode: "Which Universe Will Survive!? The Strongest Warriors Are Coming Together!!" Looks like this one moves away from Goku to feature the returns of Hit and...Frieza!? Check out what's going on at 11. ONLY TOONAMI!!
  3. Episode 11: The Shadow Of The Mastermind Check out what Boruto's getting into this week, y'know? One last time at 10:30 PM before it gets pushed back an hour next year! ONLY TOONAMI!
  4. Sorry guys; got the episode number wrong last night, but now I have corrected it. Also, the episode title IS "Climax", so...
  5. The first season ran for 51 episodes, and we're on Page 50 tonight, so ostensibly, that would be 1/12/19 when we get to Page 52, the first episode of Season 2.
  6. S2 is a bona-fide Shakespearean tragedy...with Gundams.
  7. Well, Blatch, you missed your chance to make a James Bond joke since the number of this episode literally IS "007!" So, I guess I'll just do it for you: "Mob. Shigeo Mob." I KNEW he wasn't vanquished! Dimple lives on just to get his ass kicked by Ritsu!
  8. EPISODE #30 (Season 2, Episode 17): "CLIMAX" Watch the next chapter in Deku's rise one last time at 9:30 before it moves to Midnight next year. Only TOONAMI!!
  9. Starting out at 3 AM, then winding up too damn late to be sane next year! At least it's rerunning, so stay up late and relive Tekkadan's tragic downfall! ONLY TOONAMI!!
  10. Page 50: "End of Battle, End of Despair" Last time, we saw Yami vs. Vetto, and it appeared that Yami had finally vanquished "Mr. Despair," but is that REALLY what happened? Find out tonight at 1 AM (for the last time before it gets buried at 2 next year) ONLY TOONAMI!!
  11. Nope. Though this be "2015-lite", there's still plenty to look forward to, even if most shows end up an hour later. MHA and Shippuden did kind of get screwed though!
  12. Now now, there IS a chance Kai and Jack remain on the air, at 9 PM and 9:30 PM respectively, and just leave Toonami. After all, there's no way an [as] original comedy would do better in those "garbage" timeslots, and the only sane thing to air at 10 PM is a double-shot of Family Guy.
  13. What the hell!? This is TOTALLY the wrong time to do this! If anything, this should have been reversed: keep 10-4 against College Football; THEN expand to 9 PM in 2019! Black Clover Season 2 premieres at...2 AM!? Hunter x Hunter is kind of a lame duck at this point so it doesn't really bother me that it's gonna be airing at 2:30 AM. Personally, I'm a'ight with this schedule. I will most likely be at basketball games until 9 PM my time so I'll likely be home in time for DBS. I do feel like not finishing the Saiyan saga of DBZ Kai before it takes a break is a mistake though. Why couldn't it finish off 2018 to begin the Boruto marathon instead?? Crazy prediction: once AOT and PTE end, the all-night schedule returns, from 8 PM to 6 AM as the whole block repeats with Gundam IBO the only rerun at 12:30/5:30. I mean, if not, there go my hopes of a 9 PM TIE!
  14. The hidden reason Kirito was brought back to life after being killed was Asuna used the item on him that he acquired in Episode 3 which can bring someone back to life 10 seconds after they've been killed--she just acquired it another way secretly and never told anyone, making her the TRUE heroine of the Aincrad arc. At least that's my headcanon, and it sure makes a hell of a lot more sense than the deus ex machina which played out on the screen! Why the hell are we talking about SAO so much in an MHA/Black Clover thread anyway? What the hell does SAO have to do with anything?? Edit: I rewatched the episode (SAO I Ep. 14) and I had forgotten that Asuna has also "died" at that point, which means Klein must have changed his mind and picked up the item and used it to revive Kirito so that he could beat Heathcliff/Kayaba. I guess the only reason Asuna was spared was that Heathcliff actually had to MANUALLY kill people who died in the game?
  15. We only had 8 new shows this year!? How in the world did we get so much variety on the block (coming up this week) with only 8 new shows?
  16. Dragon Ball Super (ADSM, Sat. 12/08/2018 11:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.498 million viewers [#176] • 0.21 A18-49 [#104] Read more: https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-army-navy-football-game-on-cbs-down-slightly-from-last-year-but-second-most-watched-edition-in-26-years/ Ouch. Dragon Ball Super couldn't even make the Top 100 overall shows (new and repeats) in Adults 18-49. I blame the abomination that is Live PD. It actually aired its first weeknight live show tonight. It may someday be on A&E 7 Days a week. Boy, that channel is really devolving into the Live PD network. I disagree with Live PD in principle; it really should be off-limits for it to even exist, just like for-profit prisons. Police who appear on Live PD are obviously encouraged to act even more uppity than they would be for entertainment value, and I have a problem with that because it's not justice. And don't get me wrong; I liked World's Dumbest Criminals, but that's because the focus was on the criminals doing really stupid things, not law enforcement officers just doing their jobs and possibly being biased by the fact that what they do is being seen for entertainment value, and people are sick in the head and love to watch a "good" beating.
  17. The stream changed Monday afternoon about 4 PM to Dragon Ball Super, looks like Episodes 81-85, but I'm really not sure. At least Black Clover's most recent stream residency was only a week.
  18. What the hell are you talking about? New Year's Eve is a BIG DAMN DEAL in New York City! But you do have a point. Airing special programming on the 22nd and 29th does sound kind of silly.
  19. I suppose you're right about that. So then what was the most surprising acquisition in 2018?
  20. I'd say it still happens from time to time. Pop Team Epic was certainly rather surprising!
  21. If Megalobox eventually gets a marathon, then advertising said marathon during a boxing event would probably be a wise thing. Only problem is, I doubt there will be a marathon randomly in March, though I suppose they could do one for St. Patrick's Day weekend. Would that work? December - 2 January - 4 February - 4 March - 2 Aye, that it would! Now if only there's NOT a major match on March 16th...
  22. THAT night they probably WON'T suck. It's an all-night marathon of Dragon Ball Super, after all! They always do relatively well!
  23. ESPN's Top Rank Boxing made #3 for the night and lasted for 203 minutes, which if you do the math, is 3 hours 23 minutes. Since it began at 9:12 PM, that means it ended 3 hours 23 minutes later, at 12:35 AM. While it DID have the mother of all lead-ins in the Heisman Trophy Presentation stacking the deck, it seems people would rather watch real boxing than MegaloBoxing. BUT perhaps if Toonami breaks convention and creates a rerun promo for MegaloBox when it ends up in reruns at whatever timeslot it ends up in (probably 2 AM, but I'm just guessing here), then it MIGHT be worthwhile to pay a little extra to run it during boxing shows elsewhere on TV. That's not to say that it might not be beneficial on nights that TRB is shorter and doesn't go beyond 12 AM while MegaloBox is in premieres... There is also the fact that TRB doesn't air every week that might play in MegaloBox's favor if they were to try this. How many fans of real boxing do you think might at least tune in out of curiosity if they knew there was a boxing anime show?
  24. Well folks, it finally happened. Dragon Ball Super under 500K... http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-12-8-2018.html But at least MegaloBox made the top 50, so "yay?" Meanwhile, Mob just barely missed it at #51 with 272K and a 0.12 in Adults 18-49 and JoJo an embarrassingly bad #62 with 244K and a 0.11. I'll be surprised if Black Clover cracked 300K at 1 AM, but it MIGHT have... ...oh look, we ALREADY have the rest of the picture for total viewers and Adults 18-49... https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-army-navy-football-game-on-cbs-down-slightly-from-last-year-but-second-most-watched-edition-in-26-years/ 12/8/18 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention DBZ Kai 462,000 MHA 370,000 80.09% Shippuden 342,000 92.43% Boruto 366,000 107.02% DBS 498,000 136.07% MP100 272,000 54.62% MegaloBox 310,000 113.97% JoJo4 244,000 78.71% B. Unlike what has been the norm ever since it moved up to 1 AM, Black Clover actually DROPPED slightly. The 2nd-highest retainer in both counts was MegaloBox, behind only the traditional lynchpin Dragon Ball Super, which is less of a spike than normal this week, which led to the block's next-to-last place finish. The late-night bump was given by Hunter x Hunter and AOT's rerun of all things, as it actually got the highest ratings in the back half! Will that pattern continue? This does NOT conclude this week's ratings report, as prime time 18-34s and 25-54 still remain shrouded in mystery, so I'll likely be back later tonight or tomorrow to wrap it up!
