  1. This being a thread about PC's, I swear I'm cursed when it comes to PC's. I find it ironic that my friend who isn't tech savvy (me being the one that built his pc and troubleshoots it whenever needed) rarely seems to have any troubles with his pc. In the 5 years that he's been gaming on pc the only thing that has ever gone bad was his graphics card. Now me on the other hand it seems like I can't go 3-4 months without having something go wrong. Just over 3 weeks ago I started having issues where my pc during use would abruptly shut off and turn back on, but it won't boot, it'd just hold there with all fans at 100% indefinitely, turning it off and on by button wouldn't solve the problem, I'd have to flip the switch on the power supply and wait a couple seconds then turn it back on, then my pc would turn on and post. I had this issue once back at the end of 2017 and replacing the power supply is what solved the problem, so I reached out to Corsair for an RMA, which took 3 weeks to finally get completed, the new power supply having arrived yesterday (it's actually a really nice one, I had a Corsair AX860 but they no longer had those models so they upgraded me to a HX850i, which is worth $220). I quickly installed the new psu yesterday before work, but when I got home that night and attempted to use it... same problem, it not even being able to get out of sleep. I restarted everything and used it for barely 3 minutes before it did so once more... So I waited 3 weeks for a new power supply, just for that to not be the issue. The next step in troubleshooting is to assume that the graphics card is fucked up (it being a watercooled Gigabyte 2080 Super), I tested things out by removing it, and fortunately I have a 1050 ti just lying around, it being very convenient for testing since it doesn't require additional power cables. My pc turned on and it seemed like it was working now, I downloaded the graphics drivers from Nvidia, went to do a clean install, it prompted me to restart, and.... my pc is dead now. Turning it off/on, psu off/on won't work. It doesn't post now, and the debug leds on my motherboard light up saying CPU and DRAM as the issue, so as it turns out it's my motherboard that's the problem... I hate that so much cause it's so inconvenient, me essentially having to take my pc apart. I decided that I'm done with MSI motherboards, back with my first intel pc which used an i7-4790k, that motherboard died in the last month of the 3 year warranty, and when I tried to RMA it they declined, the warranty expires on an actual day and not at the end of that month, and I was just under a week past that day. Them doing me dirty with that, but I still went on to buy MSI motherboards from them for later pc's. And this here really pisses me off, this board is an MSI x570 board that's not even a year old. I decided I'm not using whatever they replace it with, I went ahead and ordered an Asus x570 motherboard on Newegg, I plan on going with the much more acclaimed brand. I'll still RMA the MSI board but once I get the replacement I'm just gonna flip it online to get my money back.
  2. Can Nic Cage have a lead role playing himself but as a guerrilla?
  3. can the lead guerrilla be played by Tom Cruise
  4. Somewhat reminds me of something with my dog that happened a few years ago. My dog was 11, this being some months before she died, her being a pitbull, that typically being as old as they get. One day she was pushing against my bedroom door, and when I opened it she just walked in and went under my computer desk and took a huge diarrhea shit.
  5. I was born in 92, and was super into the ps1, that said though I never played any of the RE or FF games back then. I was super into Crash Bandicoot, owning all the ps1 games, even going as far as to own the 3rd game three times (it getting broken or stolen 2 times). Honestly when it comes to rpgs, those weren't something I got into until the 6th gen, and even then there were only a couple that I liked. I do love Resident Evil 4, that one's definitely an all time favorite of mine.
  6. they're referring to me. these people are obsessed with me, especially whenever I state a thought or opinion they don't like, they have a brain aneurysm, and get off on belittling me as much as they can for their own amusement. typical parasite stuff.
  7. Went furniture shopping today for when I do move. Am pretty annoyed though honestly, cause earlier this past week my realtor told me that the closing date was next Friday at 3:30, but on the way to the furniture store my mom was texting her, asking questions, her telling my mom that closing date will be the 12th and had no clue where I was getting the 6th from, I went on my phone and screenshot the text that she sent to me, her telling me that was an accident, and it will be the 12th, which means I'm waiting 2 weeks instead of 1 to get this done. I also need to reschedule my personal day at work, again, and since the 12th is a Thursday it's going to be fucking annoying taking that day off then coming back for Friday just to get the weekend off. I still technically have 2 personal days left even though I should only have 1 left (I took one over christmas break cause there were 4 days we were required to work where we'd quite literally just be sitting around doing nothing, I took 1 of them off but the offices were closed and I think my boss forgot to pass that info along so the day was never deducted), I was planning on playing things safe and only use 1 more personal day, cause I want to avoid the possibility of my boss remembering if I were to take 2 off, but I'm gonna put in for the 2 days, I do think it's very unlikely that he'd remember since he's a very busy guy, overseeing 60+ workers spread around 8 buildings, him being called over 10 minutes over something else. As far as furniture goes, my grandma spent around $1050 on new furniture for me, I really didn't want her to spend that much on me, but she really wanted to.
  8. it's okay, Waluigi is better.
  9. is stilgar and daos fairies that refuse to let the past die, and move on with what they call their lives? Yes.
  10. good point.
  11. I bought my own router instead of paying the $5 extra a month for one, I'll see how their modem holds up since it's included for free, but depending on how it goes I'll likely look into buying a different one.
  12. my gramps died back in 2010, I have a real dad and step-dad and neither one of them were worth a damn, my gramps was the greatest man that I'll ever know. He died around a week after father's day back in 2010. For well over a year he was having constant medical issues, and collapsing from time to time, there being random moments where he'd be unable to breathe. there was one point that he was in the hospital in a medical induced coma after having some form of heart failure, but he managed to make it through that. It became a thing where I got used to him always making it through whatever happened, so when I saw him the last time on that father's day I didn't think much of what was going on, I wasn't a jerk or anything but I was more interested in going home and doing other shit, if I knew that'd be the last day I'd see him and talk to him I'd liked to have done more. I do think he went at the best time though, my grandma found out he had cancer that week, and she was told that he needed surgery for something, and after that was over she had to decide if she wanted him to do chemo, or go on hospice. So either have him suffer through chemo for who knows how many months in hopes of gaining a bit more time, or just sit around for several weeks or so, waiting to die. what ended up happening though was my gramps went during the surgery he had to have before the choice had to be made, saving my grandma from making that choice, as well as not having to suffer for his remaining time.
  13. Posted a thread a couple weeks back about buying a house. Managed to score a really nice two bedroom, 1020 sqft house with a finished basement in the good part of town for 4 grand lower than the asking price, that including furniture and appliances. Next Friday is the closing date and when I can start moving in. I took the first step towards acquiring good quality internet for the first time in my life, calling up Spectrum and setting up an installation. The phone call was quite amusing cause the guy kept trying to sell me on going with the 400mbps internet (which is $20 more) me not wanting to do that even though it's tempting, mainly because with real world conditions I don't see me getting even 3/4ths of that on average. I just wanted internet (which would be $40 a month) but he then went on about their triple bundle for phone and cable, I told him again that I wasn't interested then he mentioned "the thing about the triple bundle is that the 400 gets included at no additional cost, and since we're non-contract after the first month you can just drop the cable and phone, and you'll still keep the 400 internet" like damn, cable companies really want you to get their cable service even if you don't keep it. So effectively until March 21st I'll have cable, after which I'm getting rid of that shit.
  14. shit man, sorry to hear that. my grandma's about 73 or 74, she's in good health and I've seen some of her family live into the 90's, so I'm hoping she has a lot longer left, but realistically it could happen any year now. as for working at Amazon, I don't know why people would willingly work for them.
  15. thanks dawg, but you accidentally left a " in the name
  16. why you do this to me fam. I guess the next best thing would be "I am the Senate"
  17. @Admin_Raptorpat From this day forward I abandon the name Fortnite Guy Keanu Reeves, dubbing myself "The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise"
  18. Was wondering about headphones that people here use and would recommend. Right now I'm looking for headphones to wear when out and about, and not so much something I'd use when sitting down at my pc or whatever. when it comes to headphones I'm very picky about them. When it comes to the typical ones that you mash into your ear I can't use those for more than 30-60 minutes without them hurting my ears. And when it comes to types that you'd wear on your head, I've had trouble finding a pair that doesn't feel like a vice grip against my head or ears. I've been having problems with my ears for the past several months, which is why I want something that's softer on them. Preferably Bluetooth. There's this one pair of earphones I saw at my Micro center that Im in love with, it being the type that looks like sunglasses, and the way the speakers on that one works nothing is pressed against your ear or mashed into your ear, apparently the way those ones worked was they just sit on top of your ears like glasses would and it vibrated against your ear bone, it having crystal clear audio, where even though my ears weren't covered I couldn't hear much outside of them. The only issue with them is the fact them looking like sunglasses (with cheap plastic lenses instead of made of glass) and it'd be too inconvenient wearing sunglasses indoors, especially when at work where it'll make me stand out. So if anyone knows of earphones similar to that but not looking like sunglasses that'd be nice
  19. I'm still expecting this whole thing with the coronavirus to blow over at some point in the next month or two. I see it going the way of things like the bird flu, swine flu (which I actually got back then, confirmed by a doctor), and any other flu or media covered outbreak.
  20. this is what I imagine anytime I imagine hearing you speak. also want to note that I forgot about the wonders of the ignore list, where I can go back to forgetting that you exist.
