It could still lead to an anime series. The way things could end up playing out is the put out a movie/OVA/whatever before or around the time the manga goes out to help build up interest and get people to pay more attention to it, and if the manga takes off and sells well it'd very likely lead to an anime series. Whether it's done by the same studio is an unknown, hopefully not Pierrot. I never read the early Bleach staff, I didn't start reading the manga until the fake Karakura arc, them defending those 4 towers, them going to the zanpakuto filler around that arc, me picking up the manga there and I never went back and read the older parts, I want to at some point but that's not something I care to spend time on. I just heard talk like that on some anime discussion sites / articles. I'm pretty sure the manga quality was good, but then the first thing to happen was less and less backgrounds / details other than the characters very immediate surroundings, and then wasted pages and panels. At some point in the Quincy arc I even heard that Kubo would only draw the characters if it was something specific they were doing, and would have his assistants draw them wherever needed. Probably because of all his reported health issues. Maybe they can do the One Piece thing with Kubo, taking a break every 4th week.

who knows, maybe Kubo took a trip to London once and because of that decided to make that the focus point of the series.

Honestly though when it comes to BtW, even back when I first read it I felt like it doesn't need to belong in the same world as Bleach, since I feel like that might keep it from truly being its own thing. Them being in the same world I feel like would also result in people holding it against all the highs and lows of Bleach. Obviously people will still do that since they're made by the same guy, but them taking place in the same world could lead to harsher criticism, people being a lot more particular about what choices Kubo makes with the series. If it was full on its own thing then I feel like it'd give a lot more freedom to really do whatever you want with it. Honestly I would have preferred if in the last couple of pages Kubo didn't do that Soul Society West Branch sign or whatever it was, but could have still kept the last page the same as a nod to Bleach, the way he did that honestly got me pumped up and even got a smile out of me.

@ben0119 I've been saying "tight" Kubo for years, even after a friend of mine said it's the other thing, but that sounds stupid af, so he's tight. Kubo is tight. One thing that might make this go easier for Kubo is how the anime industry for the most part has moved away from airing episodes until the series ends, them doing 6 to 12 month breaks or longer between seasons. The problem with Bleach was the fact that the anime was riding up the mangas ass pretty much all the time, I'd imagine that would result in them constantly lighting a fire under Kubo's ass to pick up the pace and keep cranking this stuff out, even by weekly releases standards him probably having even less time to think on where to go next and what to do. If they do seasonal releases for this series hopefully it'd be a lot less pressure on him, allowing him to think things through more clearly. I've always heard that one of the things that really accelerated the problems Bleach would come to face with constant filler (funny though, everyone used to praise how Naruto was better with filler than Bleach, but Naruto milked the living shit out of the manga, easily surpassing the amount of filler episodes Bleach had) was that back when the anime began, they wanted to rush through the events of the first season covered in the manga to get to the SS arc since they were afraid people would accuse them of and dismiss them for ripping off Yu yu Hakusho. Them adapting the manga at a rate of 4 to even 5 chapters per episode to get to the SS arc. I do think Bleach would have still reached the point of needing filler seasons eventually, but the way they handled it might have been what caused that cycle to happen.

I would have gotten 10 days off in a row, the deal at work was we were originally to do 7-3:30 this whole time, but our boss told us that instead we can do rotations of 7-11am. At the building I'm in there's me and two other guys, the way we decided it was we'd do 3 days, and get a total of 10 (including weekends) off, me going first, doing my 3 days... and someone had to ruin it for everyone. The deal being that will happen but if our guys fuck over our boss he'll end it and have us all work every day of this, and apparently the guys in 3 of the buildings fucked him over in the first couple of days, him pulling the plug on it and punishing all of us. So for the rest of the month we'll be working 7-11, and if he gets fucked over again he'll have us all do the 7-3:30 as was the original setup. I hate the people in my union, just about every time we're given something nice, someone always ruins it for us. This happened before I started working here, before I started our previous boss who was new at the time decided to be nice and allowed people to save and use their vacation days whenever they want (normally people here are forced to burn all or the majority of their vacation days during the summer period, it not being until you've been around for a decade before you can save a week for whenever you want) the only thing the boss asked was for people not to take Mondays and Fridays off, that being something many of the guys would do whenever they have to use their vacation days, them getting 4 day weekends and 3 day work weeks. And what happened was for the first couple of months after 8-12 people were taking off every Monday and Friday, him having to spend a lot of money in paying others overtime to cover them. The boss moving things back to the original policy the following year. tl;dr I'll be working through this because the people I work with always have to ruin everything for the rest of us.

perhaps, but the laws of the internet dictate that if you haven't seen/read a show, movie, story, etc. after a certain period of time, you have no one else to blame but yourself in the way of spoilers.

With them continuing the series I really hope it's not some 10-13 episode thing, just to fly through it and to wash their hands of it immediately after. That said, I don't want 50+ episodes. Depending on how they decide to handle this adaptation, 26 episodes should be the limit.

I read that sometime last year, and I did think it showed potential. Will be interesting to see a Western spin on the series, taking place in London I think. One thing though, if Kubo is jumping back on the saddle with an ongoing series, I hope it's either monthly or bimonthly release, and not the whole weekly shit that destroys creators health and lives. Having more time to spend on each chapter should help a lot, considering it was very apparent in Bleach that weekly releases were killing him.

Today (technically yesterday evening) is a glorious day, for the first time in my life I finally have fast and affordable and unlimited internet, a combination that I've never had until just last evening, me getting Spectrum installed in my new house. This being the fastest I've ever experienced in my whole life.

And my vacation was over before it even started, because someone always has to ruin it for everyone else. The deal with our boss is we can do rotations so we all get down time, the way me and the other guys at my building had it was where we each work 3 days, getting 10 days total off (including weekends), me picking up the odd day for 4 total days, after which I'd get my 10 off, and.... someone fucked it up for us. The deal being he'll allow that unless someone fucks him over, and apparently the guys in 3 of the other buildings fucked him over, so he's taking it out on all of us, making us all return to work as normal next Monday. So while the other guys I work with in my building will be enjoying a paid week off, because I volunteered to go first I get no time off other than this Friday.

Outside of Chicago, Illinois for the most part isn't at much of a risk. Before Prickster shut down all schools, all the superintendents in my county had a big meeting, discussing what should be done, them deciding against shutting down school in the county (this being before the governor did his thing), citing that there hasn't been a single case in our county or surrounding counties as the reason they weren't gonna close down school, them still taking precautions though.

I heard people say that WV isn't even doing any tests for this, that being why they have no reported cases.

It's still stupid af. I have friends that work in the restaurant business, them being put out of work like this and they're not even able to sign up for unemployment.

Meh, I'm still under the belief that the media is just inflating this as much as humanly possible to make their money on coverage. that's not me saying I don't think all this isn't real and isn't a threat, but the true scope of it I think is vastly less than what it's made out to be. It's easy to make something sound like the next plague when you make that all that's ever reported on, and you're constantly getting stories from people that are or have had a bad episode with the virus, but for the most part I think it's all a fraud.

I'm still not going to vote for you. So, in the state of Illinois fatboy Prickster closed down all schools, restaurants, etc. Til the end of the month because of the new hottest thing to come out of China since the fortune cookie. I mean, it's cool and all for me since I only have to work 4 hour shifts for the next 3 days and then I get 10 days off in a row, while still getting paid 40 a week, but at the same time this whole thing is stupid and unneeded.

Now compare that to one of my guys that constantly talks to himself, full on conversations, and has been caught by other guys talking to himself in other voices, including an old ladies voice (which we assume is his mom's who died over 10 years ago). He'll have full on conversations with himself, and even arguments with himself as if there were another person with him.
