Might build a PC instead of getting a new console.
Distinct Lunatic replied to Greeny's topic in Free-For-All
I do get very nice temps on my cpu and gpu water cooled, but I got like 8 fans in my pc, and though I've never had any problems with water coolers, not gonna lie that water cooling even with all in ones do introduce more points of failure. Worst case scenario for an air cooler you just have to replace a fan, but if a pump dies you gotta take the whole cooler out and send it back in at your own expense if still under warranty. And air coolers for cpus have gotten to the point where they can keep up with and even outperform water coolers. Gpu cooling is where water cooling is so much more dominant. I used to get on average 82 celsius with an air cooler card, but with water it doesn't go any higher than 60 celsius -

If I do upgrade my pc one thing I plan on doing is simplifying things a bit, no more water cooling. Air coolers have come to the point where I can get by perfectly fine with them. -

With all the new shit that's coming out I'm legit considering doing an overhaul of my system, even though realistically my current one would be considered overkill since I go long periods at a time where I don't play very demanding games. In my main pc I have a ryzen 7 3700 that I have overclocked to 4.2ghz, with a 360mm radiator water cooler. I have 32gb of 3600mhz ram. My graphics card is a 2080 Super with a 240mm radiator water cooler. So realistically my pc can hold up for a good long while, but I'm more passionate about building and working on PCs than I am gaming ironically. In the coming months I'm legit considering upgrading my cpu to a 4th gen ryzen 7 when they're available, and my gpu to a 3080 when availability improves and current early adopter issues are fixed. If I do that I plan on relegating my current parts to my living room pc. That pc uses a ryzen 7 2700, and my old gtx 1070. It's connected to a 4k tv and while it's technically capable of playing games at 4k it's not ideal. Sticking my current cpu and gpu in it will resolve that. -

With Steam as well as EA's Origin, and Ubisofts thing, not sure about the Epic Store, but if you buy a game if you have less than two hours of play time you can request a full refund for literally any reason, even if you just didn't like it. I've refunded a lot of shit with Steam, worked every time. -

I changed a few things, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YrPv8M Went with a b550 board since price difference isn't too big, and I myself prefer to get the most recent chipsets for motherboards. Ram is the same size though a little lower speed, but the latency is better, the ram you chose have 19 cas latency, this pair having 16, so more responsive. This ssd is only $10 or so more but it's an m.2 NVME ssd so it's much faster. As for the graphics card don't buy a 1660/Super/ti. Just wait and save up til Nvidia releases the 3060 which will likely be around $300-350 and so much more performance, considering the 1660 cards will likely be a lot weaker than the next Xbox. For the power supply, 600 watts I think is kind of small, especially considering newer graphics cards are using more wattage than previously, Nvidia considering 700 watts the minimum needed. -
Moroha is so cute and adorable, I just want to pet her like the quarter dog demon that she is...

No, not triggered. Just saying your opinion is shit. You're the one that's triggered now.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, yours just so happens to be shit.

The girl shown there with the white hair and red strands isn't Inuyasha's kid. Her and the girl Setsuna are Sesshomaru and some currently unknown woman's kids, the girl there seems to be the main focus character. Did no one watch the original series or even this trailer at all? I consider it understandable to not know about the girl there, but should be very obvious who Inu and Kagome's kid is

Could you use it in a sentence please?

Let's ask deep questions to this philosophy robot
Distinct Lunatic replied to SwimModSponges's topic in Free-For-All
Also I get the impression that whoever made this thing is heavily militant atheist cause just about everything philosophical I could think of to ask was met with some variation of there is no god and/or when you die nothing happens. Even simply asking "Who made you?" which I thought would lead to some funny or stupid comment about the actual person that made it was met with a page long response going on about God and existence and so on. This AI seems like an angsty teen. -

Thing is pretty shit, everything I ask gets this response "Philosopher AI thinks this is nonsense, and is refusing to answer your query. It appears you will have to try something else" -
I remember some years back there was talk and rumor about Sega getting back into the console business, but that shit ain't ever gonna happen. They're far more successful as game publishers than they'd be if they did consoles again. Not just that, but making a console is insanely expensive. Just in R&D MS, Sony, and Nintendo can easily spend over a hundred mil just developing the console, and when it comes to mass production that'd also be insanely expensive. Especially considering typically for most of a typical consoles lifespan the parent companies lose money for each console sold. I don't know what the numbers are now, but I remember back with the 7th gen there was talk about how Sony lost between $15-40 (don't remember how much) for each console sold, this being before Sony started making paid subscriptions mandatory. It wasn't until the last couple of years of the consoles lifespan that they started making a lot more since the hardware and the revisions they made made the cost lower that they started profiting more. Also when it comes to Sega, they don't stand a chance. Sony is a major global conglomerate, so they can handle the cost of everything involved in making a console. MS also being a major global conglomerate. Nintendo is the only one of the three that's a video game company that started out as an entertainment company, but they have billions of Mario and Pokemon dollars keeping them going.

So one of my co-workers died recently
Distinct Lunatic replied to Distinct Lunatic's topic in Free-For-All
Some years back there was this one guy a friend of mine worked with at Walmart, my friend is a cart pusher and the guy worked somewhere else in the store, and apparently he was a really nice guy, whenever my friend would go to lunch and they didn't have any others working the guy would always volunteer to go outside and cover for him. Years back it was a case where he was talking to the guy one day, just normal conversations, and then apparently that night him his wife and their kids died in a house fire. -
Inuyasha sequel Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon
Distinct Lunatic replied to HardcoreHunter's topic in Anime & Manga
Apparently they're gone. It's not stated if they're alive or dead, I highly doubt series creator would have killed them off since fans obviously wouldn't take too kindly to that. Cause apparently the new characters haven't seen them in ten years. Though considering the two time periods are connected again, maybe something happened where Kagome and Inuyasha are stuck somewhere else, maybe in a different time.- 102 replies

His family is pretty pissed with us, and I can't blame them. Apparently for most of the last year he's been working 16 hour shifts Monday through Friday, 8 hours with one job and 8 hours with us. If he got hired back in July he'd have been able to leave the other and stop working 16 hours each day. And apparently he rents out a couple houses so on the weekends he has that stuff to manage, so it sounds like he worked himself to death. I remember every time I saw him he always looked so tired, and also mentally exhausted. He got passed over by 4 newcomers that all knew someone. -
Just found out about an hour ago when I came into work. Technically he wasn't a full time employee yet, but he was someone that had the most chance of getting in soon. He was in his early fifties and a good dude, harder worker than most of the hired people that we have. Apparently what happened is yesterday he was outside cutting his grass when he randomly felt very tired so he went inside and lied down on his couch and didn't get back up. I wasn't close to the guy but with how that came out of nowhere can't help but linger on it.

BIG details about gen:LOCK Season 2...
Distinct Lunatic replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
I honestly don't even understand the appeal of RT. I've never seen RWBY, and am somewhat curious about it, but I've heard a lot of folks say that series went to shit years ago. I've heard mixed things about Genlock but in general it sounds like it's probably shit too -

There was that one woman long ago, Ranlsa or something like that, started with an R. She was the one that viewed Genndy Tartakovsky as a god and everything he worked on as a masterpiece.
